see you down in AR bay..
Howdy folks,
Been on a modified DC-esque low volume three days per week split for nearly a month now. I am checking in to tell you of some of the gains I've made in the last month after coming off a high volume, overtraining to the gills type routine, and spinning my wheels for months.
Since beginning this work out I've made strength gains across the board.
Flat bench max has went up nearly 20 lbs. Dead lifts are still at my previous max but am able to squeeze out two more reps than before. I have not maxed on squats. Before I was doing a squat to about 3 inches above parallel, now I go to just under (an inch or so) parallel to the floor. And let me tell ya, that's a whole new ballgame, holy shit!! I am killing myself to get 6 reps with a relatively small weight (as compared to before) with the proper form and approach. I am learning to love that exercize. I swear, sometimes after a day of squats I feel like I've literally grown!
I have gained nearly 10lbs in the last month, some of which is fat no doubt because I've been eating like a freight train and busting my gut to get 300g of protein per day. Don't think the body fat has increased that much though. I am satisfied that at least a good portion of it is muscle.
Low Volume is working beautifully.
If you found yourself fatigued or plateaued for months, this is what you need.
It's the only answer to those of us that are/were perpetually overtrained.
Much thanks to the vets and mods on this board that are spreading the word on a true approach that yields gain. With the gross amount of bullshit and misinformation floating about in the BBIng community, good info is a breath of fresh air.
There's literally a wealth of information here. Thank you for the info.
