Mom's back needing a little more help

Sorry for intruding again, but this seems to be the best place to get real answers. Started my son Jeff (16y/o) on injections of 50mg 2x's a week subcutaneous. (This is Dr. prescribed and monitored just to be clear.) We started this about two weeks ago (had his 4th shot this past sunday). Since he has started this I have noticed that he is complaining of feeling sick, as in a cold/flu and some stomach issues, today he vomited. At this point in time he hardly leaves the house (is home tutored until he starts feeling better, see original post if interested in his symptoms and background) so his exposure to ill people is limited to myself, his dad and brother and sister and none of us has been sick.

Is there any chance the T-shots are making him feel this way? I only read good things about the shots, how they make you feel great, etc, etc, but I have to ask the question since it seems a little suspicious, that this started after we started the shots and it seems to leave and come back every few days. I may be way off base here and maybe it really is us exposing him to these things, but until I ask the question I won't know the answer.

Again thanks for any info and help you can give me.

hi... so i have not read the original post. but it looks like you have a child with a hormone inbalance.. doctor is allowing testosterone shots??

how low were his original levels??

there are two things that could be happening..

1. hes just sick.. everyone is getting it.. i have clients check in all over the world and half of them are sick right now.. its going around

2. he might, and i say this loosely, be experiencing test flu.. with such a low dosage and sub-q shots that absorb slower.. i highly doubt it.. i think he is just sick

Yes Dr. is allowing it and it is done at home to boot. Trust me took a lot to get started but here we are. His levels started at 240 in may, dropped to 200 in july and hit 170 in September. He has a ton of issues that are all explained by Low testosterone so I am hoping this will help him get back to being a normal 16yr old.

Thanks for responding

how are the injections holding up?? is he getting a hard lump at the injection site at all?

Did you discuss with the doctor including HCG in his therapy, and also estrogen management? Both are a big deal with TRT. Also, at his age I'm guessing he doesn't want to be left unable to have children, so HCG is VERY important for aesthetics to keep up his testicle size, and also to keep his sperm count up.

yea they play their part.. but with 50mg sub-q twice a week i think his estrogen will be ok.. he should get it checked regarless..

and if he wants to have kids in the future he should def be running a low dosage of hcg

Agreed 3j. Currently I'm taking 100mg's a week and my e2 is around 30. HCG at 250iu twice a week does a body good though.

Its coincidence with the flu and TRT.
I had a cold as well when I first started TRT.
He'll be ok

I agree that it is likely just a cold, but if it persists try switching testosterone brands. On rare occasions, people can be allergic to the carrier oil or additives. Not allergic to the testosterone itself, but the other things in the vial. Or if he is taking testosterone cypionate, he could switch to testosterone enanthate (or vice-versa). Again, this is only if the problem persists. Much more likely that he just has a cold.

Lots of good advice here, am feeling the love and concern, good job guys! and hope that all works out well with the kid mom. Please let us know how we can continue to help.
