Moved from 2xGels to 250mg injection help appreciated

Everyone is different... I'd try pinning E7D at first, and gauge your demeanour... if you are fine with it, then it means less injections... and let's face it you are on this for life now! So less pins is a good thing.

I thank my lucky stars that Nebido works for me - one pin every 4 weeks is a dream compared to the shorter esters....
OK I still have to pin HCG SubQ - but that's a doddle in comparison!

Interesting to see your in UK and on HCG too, guess its self medicated? My endo said I could have it prescribed if I pay (2k ish a year he said) but he advised its probably an added complication (estro etc) and advised I leave it till I want to concieve (I stored sperm prior to TRt just incase)... What made you add it to protocol? Recommend?

There are a bunch of previous threads on the topic of hCG in a TRT protocol. If you use the search function you will find them.

I also recommend you read the sticky thread on pinning. Answers to a bunch of you injection questions are in there too.

As you can imagine, a lot of your TRT related questions have probably been asked before. Just spend some time reading and you will be able to glean a lot about TRT.

Yeh I have done quite a bit of reading on hcg already and the stickies, presented my endo with quite a few studies showing benefits to young males who are secondary... But as stated above he seemed to think its more hassle than it's worth...
Maybe when I get dialed in on the ethenate I'll think about adding it in, one step at a time for now I feel.. See how my estro reacts to the T alone.

Yeh i expect she is going to want to see quad injection tomorrow... so hopefully will be a 25" 1inch that i can use all over?

owh also, think its a good approach going 7-10 days (more likely 10 going skiing saturday for a week) and then start the 125mg, or wait the full 14 days? would rather avoid a big trough if i can

My doc started me on 1.5" 23 guage needles. Can you say Harpoon!?! Now that my body fat is much lower and I have almost no fat on my thighs, I am using a 0.5" 27 gauge needle.

Yeah, they won't prescribe AI's or HCG in the UK, so if you need them, you gotta find em :(

I only introduced HCG three months ago... by choice - I just found the fact that my nuts had shrunk to raisins made me very self-conscious, I've found that adding the HCG brought them back up a bit and made my loads less lumpy.

It may have increased my E2 a bit, but it's negligable.

What set up do you run it at and does your doc know? Or you just stop before blood tests?
Do you have to use an AI?

hCG won't show up in your blood work other than it may increase TT and E2. They won't be able to tell that you are using it if they don't specifically test for hCG - but that is not a standard lab test.

Would LH not be raised? Or because its an analogue it doesn't increase natural LH?

Do you do 10 weeks on 2 weeks of as previously seen

It will not show up as LH. It will actually lower you natural LH -- although the exogenous test should already be doing a good job of doing that.

10/2 is something a lot of guys do.

Hey guys, just done my first injection! All went well and didn't hurt until after and its been a bit sore for half hour now haha...

Also in terms of the vials, it was actually in little glass ampules that you snap the top off.... In terms of multi dosing this i guess ill just draw half into one syringe and half into another?

thanks

I run it at 500iu, twice a week for ten weeks, then have 4 weeks off....

If I have bloods coming up I try to ensure I've been off HCG for a couple of weeks beforehand.

I do run an AI, I've come up with my own protocol to suit Nebido.

I run 0.5mg Adex E7D for the 2 weeks after my injection, then I leave it for the last 2 weeks...

It works for me, and to be fair, I don't know anyone else that is on Nebido, so it's been trial and error from the word go.

My doctor does not know about the HCG and AI.

Thanks for the reply,

One question on the AI, do you dose that relating to blood tests or because you feel you high raised E2?

Also, in terms of my split dosing think I'm okay with drawing with two syringes, changing needle and leaving it capped for a week? (will inject the other needle at that point)

Either that or i try buy multi use vials and inject it all into a vial then measure and draw from that... but sounds more hassle

I'd be wary about making similarities between our TRT methods for AI reasons... they couldn't be more different...

I inject 1000mg/4ml in ONE injection every 4 weeks - for that reason, I take 0.5mg Adex E7D for the first 2 weeks after injection... I leave the final 2 weeks because I figure my T levels will most likely be slightly lower and it won't be needed. I know that Nebido is supposed to keep your T levels at a 'steady state' from injection to injection, but I figure that it must drop a bit.

I know the US guys will jump straight in here and say I should find out for sure via bloodwork - but you have to remember that this isn't as easy for us here in the UK... We don't have private labs we can use, and really our only form of bloods are via our doctors. And he isn't aware that I use HCG and and AI - because it isn't UK protocol to do so.

I've quickly learned to listen to my body and learn what I need, I try things and if they work I stick with it, if they don't - I don't.

You'll soon realise OP, that after a few months, you'll know a whole lot more about TRT than most UK doc's ever will.

Are you talking about the Test or the HCG here?

The test mate, I think it should be fine to leave in syringe for a week if i change the pin once drawed and leave cap on till injecting?

also any info the the AI question above? My E2 is middle range when i was on the gel's but haven't experienced any high E sides... got sore knees (low e) but I'm probably squatting too much haha

Yeah, the Test will be fine in the syringe for a week, not long enough to cause any erosion.

When I went through the Gel stage I aromatised like crazy, that was one of the reasons I convinced the doc to move me to injections, plus I was worried about transferring any solution to my 6yr old gal.

Everyone is different mate, the only surefire way to know how you'll react is to get bloods.

When does your doc want your next tests done?

You should also note from Ben's pic that he has extremely low body fat %. Therefore he is going to aromatize a lot less than your average bloke. It is useful to see what works for other guys; but you have to remember that we are all very different.

Yeh, im 8-10% bf anyway so i shouldn't be amortising much, and where i rubbed the gels on (legs nd shoulders) its like google maps with vines in only carry fat around my midsection so avoided rubbing the gels there...

wil be interesting to see if injections bring me lower
