My 25 yr old female employee just complimented my "Dadbod", but I'm only 30.

So the time has come from me to shut up and fix the problem. Soccer, football, and swimming in high school, but an injury put me on the bench. Activity level all but ceased, but I kept fueling like I was training. 6 pack turned keg, introduce 2 kids, now I'm just mad at myself for not getting in gear sooner. Looking for knowledge on a startup routing. Diet, exercise, and supplements that I can actually maintain. Maybe look into pinning in the future, but for now, trying to shed enough weight to even see the muscle.

5'11'', 230lbs. Not my finest, but there it is.

I'd toss in a blood test to make sure you're running properly under the hood too. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to fix your body when your hormones went bye bye.

So, just a quick update. Started following the diet and exercise plan 3J set up for me. Had to wait till the weekend to get all the food supplies. I must say, I was a bit concerned about how I might consume so much food per day. After only 2 days, I have no more questions. It is now 2:15 pm. I ate approx. 2 hours ago and I can't wait till 3 for my veggies and boiled chicken. Entire upper body is sore and I am exhausted. Will say though that Mr. Scale says it's working.
 
Best thing you could do it get the diet straight and introduce excercise back into your life. A hormone panel would be the next step. Making sure your thyroid is functioning and knowing where you are is a must. No need for steroids unless you have low testosterone.


Talk to 3j about amino acids they will help fuel your muscles and limit soreness.

So, Been feeling miserable. Entire upper body hurts, completely exhausted. Went back to meal plan to see if there was anything I could recommend for tweaks. Then I saw it. I had missed the fact that every meal had carbs. For the past 3 days I have been missing 3 servings or carbs. No wonder I have NO energy. Just a tip to anyone else starting out, there is a lot of new information and routine, check it multiple times so you don't starve yourself.

Focus more on diet bro. and dont give up. you will have plenty of bad days and downs but keep pushing urself. Carbs are important for energy surce and fuel, good complex carbs should be part of a diet plan. oatmeal, cereals, brown rice, fruits are great.
 
They were listed on the diet plan. I just didn't seem to read them. Energy level is 10x today since correcting my error. Unfortunately, that means that my upper traps took a beating today. Anyone have ideas for dealing with what feels like a pulled upper trap?

This sucks and happens to me sometimes when I go heavy on shrugs. Depends on where it is, but I usually try to roll it with a lacrosse ball or use the corner of a wall to dig into it. I've had weeks where my head was constantly tilted to one side because my trap was so sore it hurt to keep it straight haha
 
No problem!

My favorite thing for sore/inflamed muscles is using an *****al buffer... sooooooo good.
