Hi everyone!

I'm a student from the United Kingdom currently researching "The Moral and Ethical Issues surrounding Performance Enhancing Drugs".

I was hoping if you could give me some good quality quotes in the reason why you take Steriods etc.

This would be much appreciated and hope you can help me out because it would be of great assistance.

Thankyou

Not sure if your title is correct or redundant but isn't moral and ethics the same thing/redundant words for a title in our research? I suggest you use one or the other. Sounds repetitive or can you explain what exactly your looking for between etical and morals???????

Yeah you're right there. I mean why you feel it's morally right to take agents that aren't natural and why others just don't feel that it's right. Thanyou.

I don't believe that there are any moral issues with taking steroids. Most of us take them to take us to the next level with our bodys and performance in the gym. Is it morally right to take creatine? What about all the other supplements that people take? Is it morally right to use botox? Have plastic surgery? To me none of these things have anything to do with morals and values. Morals and values to me are about how you treat those around you. Are you a faithful husband? Are you a good friend? A loving father? Taking steroids is a personal decision that generally does not affect anyone else around you and it can be done safely. Of course there is risks with everything you do in this life, but thats a choice we make.

Thankyou! This is great, it provides me with a basis for a discussion and gives those that i'm addressing a real insight into your thought proccess.

Injectable testosterone is about so much more than gaining muscle. The quality of life with high levels of testosterone -levels that can be achieved with moderate doses and minimal injections- is superior. The anabolic effects are simply an added bonus.

Although illegal I feel that in comparison with many legal substances in our country (alcohol, tobacco, certain prescription drugs) that AAS is the much less "evil" of the two. Hundreds of thousands of people die in America alone from the use of these 100% legal and easily attainable substances that offer the body only negative consequences from use. Cancer, heart attack, stroke, infertility, just to name a few. Yes"steroids" can also be harmful if used incorrectly but with proper protocols they can have a multitude of beneficial outcomes for the user. Improved physical structure is always the most talked about but there's many other benefits as well. Improved confidence, improved sex drive, improved cardiovascular strength, and from personal experience just an overall better feeling and outlook on life overall. The way I look at it, testosterone is no different than any of those perfectly legal compounds and artificial fillers in a cigarette. Only with AAS there's a positive side, and a very high percentage chance of positive outcomes versus negative.

From my own personal philosophy the most fundamental right all humans should possess would be the right to be master of their own bodies. In that regard I control all aspects of myself. I can eat anything, smoke anything, inject anything, and fuck anything I want (as long as it does not violate someone else's right to their own body). I should be able to choose how to live and if things get bad enough I should be able to choose to die.

I own this shit. Don't tell me what I can and can't do with my self.

Well said my friend.
