My Favorite TRT Supplements

Hey guys just wanted to list several supplements that I couldn't do without. Maybe some of you could benefit from them as well. I'm also curious to see what you guys take.

1) 100mg timed release 5-htp
(serotonin precursor that stabalizes mood and boosts the immune system) Testosterone can lower serotonin. It also increases energy. I take one twice a day. More than that or non timed release may suppress appetite and cause irritability. This makes focusing at work or on anything easier too.

2) Vitamin Shoppe - L-Arginine-Ornithine, 2000 mg Amazon.com: Vitamin Shoppe - L-Arginine-Ornithine 2000 Mg, 2000 mg, 100 capsules: Health & Personal Care
The best of the vasodilator products in my experience. I have purchased several arginines but none work as well as this combo product. I take it everyday and it also gives me more energy, as if I needed that.

3) 3mg timed release melatonin - this along with possibly a sublingual dissolving melatonin puts me to sleep and keeps me asleep

I use "need2sleep" at night it has 5-htp and melatonin. Sleep like a baby so I agree both are great for sleep aids.

I'll have to look in to these as I do have some difficulty sleep through the night at times.

Thanks

Good info as usual you beast.. I still haven't bought these supps yet, I have to get these things bc it will help my mild depression and my erratic sleep patterns..But, if I gained 60lbs of muscle in a year, I don't think I would need anything to help my mental status! Haha lol.. Keep up the informative threads Kid!

i tried 5-htp, but then suffered probably the worst migraine ive ever had in my entire life!

i suffer from migraines so this stuff really messed me up, but felt great on it, till my blood vessels did what they did,

thanks guys, always great posts here!

what does everyone recommend for energy and fat burning?

Timed release 100 5-htp is the only way to go. If you take non timed release you can't take more than 50 mg, at least I can't, or it puts me to sleep and suppresses my appetite. Everything I listed will increase energy. But acetyl-l-tyrosine is probably the best for increasing dopamine (energy). The vitamin shop arginine/orthinine is also good. Fatigue is most likely from an overactive sympathetic nervous system, which all of the above products will solve.

ok thanks, will have to forego the 5-htp though due to diagnosed migraines i take meds for! not sure what the 5-htp does to my blood vessels, but what ever it does jacks me up after use.

These types of supplements cjw is mentioning I can get behind. These are actually proven to work. 99% of everything else is a complete waste of money and time.

I started the acetyl-l-tyrosine and 5-HTP thanks to cjw. Had trouble finding timed release so got 50mg 5-HTP take it 2x/day. Started a week ago so not enough time to really notice anything (that I can tell).

Not necessarily related to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but I also take:

- Now Foods Super EPA, 6/day - Omega 3, fish oil, EPA, DHA - for cardiovascular
- Elastijoint, 2x/day - chondroiton, glucosamine, msm, gelatin - for joints
- Now Foods 100mg Hyaluronic Acid - for joints
- Glutamine - prob 10g/day - don't get nearly as sore from workouts
- BCAA's - lots of cheaper powders out there now - take when I wake up at night and while working out.
- Creatine
- D3 2000iu 2x/day

- B12 shot, 1000mg/ml, 2ml 2x/week
- B-complex shot, 100mg/ml, 1ml 2x/week

Placebo or not, stuff works for me so I take this stuff and have for years. the way I notice the difference in many cases is after taking for over a month and I stop, if I can tell a difference, I know it's working. BCAA's are probably the only thing I am going on faith, but 20-yr old habit, used to take capsules by the handful, but seems they have processing down - very inexpensive these days.

Nice thread guys. Plenty of good info.

What do you guys take to keep your blood pressure in control. I dont have that problem yet but I am not looking to get it either... so I figured I take something before it becomes a problem.
Actually before testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I had a low blood pressure and used to be cold all the time. Since I started, My blood pressure has worked up to the low end of normal range and dont feel cold so its perfect for me for now.

0_o weird...me too. Now I'm warm most of the day and my BP is right under 120/70.

magnesium+potassium aspartate by country life 1-2x a day takes care of BP issues for the most part, combined with the arginine orthinine thing and 5htp i mentioned above if u need 5htp. L-carnitine and hawthorn berrie pills also help.

I also want to add a b complex and l-methionine. I take the b complex at night, and the timed release melatonin knocks me out. Both are great for liver function and more hardons.

After that timed release melatonin u may have a hard time getting up too. a cup of coffee or caffeine pill may be needed. You can switch to a sublingual melatonin that isn't timed release and possibly add 800mg of gaba to get knocked out if you can't get out of bed on the timed release one.

Since I've started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I have also been taking NO Black Powder by MRI. It has arginine, some creatine, and caffiene in it. Its the only form of caffeine I do take though. Wouldnt hurt me on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) would it?? What do you guys think.

Figured Id post here since it is supplement thread.
