Need advice on mass routine

Dlove

Product of Test
I been doin a variation of PB's 3 day routine for about three month's now. Basically my routine consists of squattin and benching weekly and pullin deads every other week. Im loving the thickness im getting but heres my dilema.

At a point in my life where i need to make a career change. Im not ever going to make a carreer in BBing but can make a good carreer in golf. I know sissy sport huh. Golfing is where my talent lies and i wanna move down south and be an assistant pro at a club in Florida. Heres my problem. Im up to 260lb's no flexibilty big ass, big waist and can barely put my socs on anymore. So it wasn't a suprise when i went to play a round of golf the other day it was an absolute joke. Im been pullin heavier weight then ever berfore in my life like 315lbs 8 reps BB rows, triples of 495 off the floor. I need to do something to get my golf game back. When i was 210lb's and wasn't squattin or deadlifting i could play great.

Anyhow I got 3 ?'s.

Will raising the reps help get my flexibilty back?

I dont do cardio will that help?

Are there stretches that will help?

Please no-one say quit lifting im just now gettin thick. Any advice out there?

Thanx

i dont think its lifting that has contribute to te fall in your golf game..
the extra 50 lbs whether its all muscle or a combo of muscle/fat that added thickness will change the leverages of your swing..

how is your swing now compared to when you were lighter? do you still have the same mobility? i would imagine you woud be able to build more torque and body rotation (as long as you keep flxible) due to the weight lifting..

I would add in some mobility work for shoulders, hips, trunk as well as stretching to increase your flexibility

In my back swing I used to keep the club parralel at the top of my swing. Now when i turn my hips and bring the club back it cant go no-where near parralel. It might be the bol, test and deca cause my clubs feel like little sticks i wanna break. I feel like bam-bam on the course.

What's mobility work BB?

Also maybe it's my CNS cause when i take my stance on the ball my lower back threw the waist line has got pin like pains. It's gotten a little better since you guys said not to pull every week and to start doin hyper-extensions.

But pullin is so damn much fun!! :insane2:

That is what pisses me off the most. I quit drugs and alcohol several yrs. ago to get into lifting. My brother got me all these BBing books when i was 16 and they collected dust for the next 10 yrs. Finally I decided I was sick of feeling like shit and needed somethin to save my life. Sounds fucked up but if it wasn't for trainin hard and eatin big the past couple yrs id be dead or in jail. I get a natural high from doing heavy squats and deads. I just need a better career and golf was alway's my expertise.

Maybe cardio and a shitload of stretching might help. Im even considering a cut diet and stayin trimmer that might help.

stretching in order to increase your range of motion..
sounds like you need to really stretch out the body.. i would start with 3 times a week and then try to go to everyday..

i stretch everyday takes about 10 minutes but it has helped alot with my flexiblity and recovery..I focus on the low back hams and hips

Are you talkin about stretching on days off? Im gonna try it. What are some good stretches to losen me up up top in the upper body?

stretch before and after every leg workout, and also stretch the day after an intensive leg workout. Not only will you regain some flexibility, but you'll also find that it can increase the numbers you're putting up.
