hey all
Like many I am at a University right now, I have my mail/packages still sent to my home address however. Well today my mother called me and told me there was a postcard at the door from the US post office and it said
"Greetings, You weren't here we needed your signature, Please come pick up tomorrow after 6AM"
Now I'm guessing that this is the package that got nabbed by customs (because the resend arrived already). I'm definitely not goin to the post office to claim anything, and I told my mother to just toss the notice. My question is they wont return again tomorrow will they and request a signature? What is the deal with this? thanks everyone:)

Seems too small of an order for a controlled delivery but you never know with the Postal Inspectors. If they arent busy with other shit they would gladly take a steroid case.

As far as I know, Mass. isnt too bad for this kind of thing. I mean theres always risk but your definitely better off in Mass. then say Ohio.

Basically, dont go pick it up. And make sure your Mom knows that if they come back tomorrow, that she should not sign for anything.

A sure sign that its a set up is if the postman is different. Although Im sure you dont want to start explaining to your Mom how to find out if they are trying a controlled delivery or not.

LOL. yea my mother is mad cool about everything though. She's always like "another yugo pack?! who do you know in yugoslavia?" But yea Biggie, my main concern is them coming back tomorrow when I'm not home. I mean letters are nothing I can just toss em, but I get back home at like 2 30 tomorrow and the mailman usually comes at like 12. The postcard said like "come by tomorrow after 6AM to sign for it" so I dont know, it doesn't sound like they will come again. What do you think?

oh btw I wouldn't even be concerned if my house was clean, but I still got a few things laying around. My friend from home is going to try to stop by tonite to clean it out though just in case

Well, to be honest, if it was an attempt at a controlled delivery, they more then likely would not have left that note. They would have just kept trying every couple hours or would have tried again tomorrow. Its not like they are going to have a whole team of cops and law enforcement waiting behind the counter at the post office for you to come in and sign for that package. But, you never know, weirder things have happened with steroid cases.

Just make sure your Mom doesnt sign for any packages if they do in fact come back. And if your curious, go to the post office and give them the note that was left for you, if they come back with a package from Yugo for you to sign for, just tell them you arent expecting anything from there and leave.

I wouldnt worry too much about cleaning house. A search warrant for such a set up is only valid once you have accepted the package.

thanks for all the info biggie!

I dont think it is a controlled delivery due to the small size of the goods. But all international packages I have ever recieved I have had to sign for ZERO. And the fact that my source resent the package I suspected was nabbed AND i received it already makes me think. I mean I didn't have to sign for the one I just recieved so why would I have to sign for this one? I dont think i'm gonna go down to see whats up.

Well my friend just picked up all my stuff so the house is clean. I feel better now.

Biggie- you say you doubt it is a controlled delivery, but I definitely shouldn't go down to the PO and see whats up correct? If this was legit I can't imagine why this would be the first package I'd have to sign for.

dont sign for anything man,,, nada, zero. Tell ur mom the same! That shit sounds suspicious as hell.... seriously.

Suspicious? Definitely

I'm not goin to sign for anything, and any letters I recieve I am just tossing. I was just wondering what the thought was since it doesn't seem to be a controlled delivery. Dont get me wrong, there is no way in hell i'm goin down to the Post office to see whats up. Just wanted to know what everyone thought

Yeah, it sounds like the only really bad part of this is that you lost your gear.

Why don't you have your packs shipped right to your University address?

If he is living in residence, that would probably be a bad idea. If he does get busted, he would get in shit with the law and probably thrown out of school as well. Also, if he moves back home for the summer, the pack may get delivered when he isn't home.

I have it the other way around. I live off campus, so I have to sign a 12 month lease. I get everything sent to my university house, so my parents don't have to ask any questions.
