Welcome,

Sorry about the accident. Any head trauma?

If your body fat percentage is high, it's really important to find a solution to bring it down. I don't know what your diet is, but most folks don't know their daily expenditure, which is why they don't lose weight. You need a marker to know how much to eat. I would start with getting your daily expenditure and start eating in a caloric deficit. Running any steroid at high body fat is dangerous.

Good luck.

Lowering the BF % is a must my friend. Something im attempting now. Have lost 4kg in the past few weeks just by doing a little more walking and eating healthy.

I too was in a car accident that left me in a wheel chair for 6 months. That i could handle, but the death of my wife was a little too much.

10 years later and my back is still giving me grief, but i can manage it. i went from 74kgs to 130...

Hovering around the 107 mark now.

How would one go about working out a daily expenditure?

Calculate your BMR using an online calculator, multiply by an activity factor, then eat at that intake for a week or two. If you gain no weight it means you've found your maintenance.

Lot's of different ways to calculate it. No one way is correct. But your first step is finding your lean body mass amount. To do so, you need to have your body fat percentage checked.

I use LBMx15 to get expenditure. This is not taking into account level of activity, but it's a good start. You'll know very quickly if it works for you, or if you need to make adjustments.

Yeah see that's called a "random" diet.

Once you have your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), you would need to go into a caloric deficit of at least 500 calories or more based on your TDEE. Your total caloric intake needs to be broken down to proper macronutrient ratios (carbs, fats, proteins) to maximize on your results.

Check the nutrition section for more info.

I am in a simular situation, was in a bad accident 12 years ago and as a result have put on a large amount of weight. I contacted 3J from this site to design a diet for me and provide coaching and assistance. I am on my fourth day and can tell you that I am loving this diet so far and I am not going hungry at all! 3J's pricing is extremely reasonable and he is very quick to answer any questions that I have and provide assistance.
