I'm trying to understand is it safe to say that since I've cycled before and have not experienced any hairloss that i am not PRONE to it. I understand that testosterone itself converts to DHT which can speed up the hairloss agenda. The reason why is im considering now throwing in masteron on a cycle. I've read that finastride actually doesn't help fight hairloss with Masteron because it is already a converted form of DHT.. i think the 5alpha? Has anyone in their late 20's (im 28) got any problems from certain compounds or have any light on the matter.

You are correct finasteride is a 5 alpha reductase enzyme. It only stops the conversion from testosterone to DHT.

Nizoral shampoo has been shown to cleanse hair follicles of DHT and is the best choice with regards to hairloss prevention due to exogenous DHT.

don't mean to thread jack but I thought it would be good to keep it all in here.

I've never had an issues with hair loss til now. Done multipul PH cycles.
I did a fairly long one this summer, used hcg/clomid for post cycle therapy (pct). Got blood tests done. Everything is fine.

a few months later... my hair is falling out a lot. covering my pillow, shirt if I rub my head, towel is covered after a shower.

I was looking into something to take with my next cycle, going with test/deca this time.

Should I give Nizoral a try instead?

do both. 1mg-1.25mg/day of finesteride along with nizoral every 2-3 days is NOT gonna make it worse nor hurt you.

some guys do the rogaine thing too but i find that to be a huge pain in the ass

An analysis of the aforementioned facts leads to several possibilities.

A reduction in vaso-dilation of primary arteries is causing follicle deterioration. This type of hairloss is identified by thinning at the vertex. A possible counter measure is the introduction of minoxidil as a topical application to increase arterial dilation. A combination with Nizoral would also provide additional merits.

A possible increase in androgen conversion is resulting in increased DHT levels. The use of a 5-alpha reductase enzyme (finasteride) can alleviate this conversion. Additionally Nizoral should be utilized heavily during primary treatment.

Thanks for the response! I'll give Nizoral a shot right away and see if I can get my hands on some finasteride.

ok but can someone clarify. Do AAS drugs speed up the process of hair loss so if you were originally going to start balding at 45 you might start at 25. Or is it something that gives hair loss only while on cycle or within a short period of being on cycle and then returns to normal

DHT conversion from high dose exogenous testosterone can lead to hair loss. Hair loss due to DHT usually requires exogenous stimuli to recover.

Unfortunately , long term sistemic block of DHT may leads to another serious issues . (loss of libido/sex drive, ED ,Loss of morning erections, reduced ejaculate,Emotional Blunting, loss of focus, lack of motivation, testicular AND penile shrinkage , gyno, muscle weakness ) . This is real, and sometimes irreversible.
IMO , topical treatment is the way to go.
Nizoral 2% shampoo works . Daily for best results.
