as you may or may not know a commercial gym is not geared towrds the powerlifter..First off the bars in my gym suck to high hell..Iv been training with a buddy consistently and i know there are one or two oters who wouldnt mind kicking in some funds amongst ourselves to get some decent things
i was thinking
1. texas power bar
2. squat bar/cambered bar/ss bar
3. Cheap GHR
4.competition bench- once tucked i have a hrad time unracking 225 by myself
5. eventually a reverse hyper $$$$$$$

do you think its wise to accumulate this stuff and leave it at the gym?? they dont really seem to accomodating to me..spoke with someone and they were supposed to order a bar now they "dont have the funds" but will order after the new year..yeah right

start your own gym in a garage somwhere, i would not leave that stuff their. Or better yet get to II on Saturdays and train with the early guys.

if i could find about 10 people who i can trust to cmmitt id rent some cheap warehouse space and get osme real equipment..it really wouldnt be that bad prolly cost everyone about 50/month for a year or so then once equip is paid for its jsut rent..helluva cheaper than a reg commericl gym plus you got all the equipment you could want

we put several items in our gym. the owners ok with it and we have what we need now.

the mono was expensive but the ghr was only 250 or so. the comp bench wasnt cheap. we have a sornix and it was 900 i believe but it has band atachments and adjustable standards.

i have a used RH for sale. works great just dont have room for 2 at the gym.

i dont think they would even let me put a mono in if i had the money for it anyway LOL... i was just thinking better bars some specialized bars
the GHR is 250 like you said

i found this bench it may not be the greatest but as long as its wider and not sitting 10 inches off the floor but closer to 17 like a comp bench id be happy

or the cheaper one which is still 10 times better then a hammer bench

i understand about the gym thing i split time between home and the gym.sorry about the space thing, but a garage makes a damn good gym.thats if you have one and you put all the other shit somewhere else.

maybe you could see if you could lock this stuff up somewhere in your gym, and give only the people who chipped in the combo for them :S

make sure your bench is easy to hand off on. it needs a raised platform and it has to be where the hand off guy can straddle the lifters head.

forza has some benches for a decent price.

standing on stacked plates is fine for a 400lb bench but once you go heavy its dangerous. if yu gonna fork out the dough at least get a good one. :D

the first one you posted looks nice, on sale too. plus it got the safety catches so you dont crush you little larinx. :D
