need to add deadlifts to my back day

i do stiff leg deadlifts on leg day, but i want to start doing regular deadlifts on my back day.


how about this for back day (i do back by itslef on tuesdays)


3x8 deadlift
3x5 t-bar rows
3x5 seated rows
3x10 pullups (just bodyweight)


want to keep my V taper real nice and tight for the summer (also ofcourse working abs and keeping diet in check.)


tell me what you guys think of my back routine
 
good routine, my old "bodybuilding" back workout was deads, close grip pulldowns, bent rows, and seated close grip rows. I wish i could do pullups, lol.
 
alright ...fighting off this cold, but legs went well today.

next week i start regular deads on back day..cant wait to start growing more.
 
I like going heavy on deads with low reps 4-6 and higher reps for other back exercises. You may want to throw in some barbell rows as an alternate to the t-bar.

4-6 has always been high reps on deads for me, :) I like that 1-3 range.
 
does anyone get their traps\back sore aside form the hams and calves, from stiff leg deadlifts?


my hams\calves\ are killin and my traps and back are nice and tight

Most people do siffs light after a leg workout, i have been doing them up to 435 off the floor lately, and i can tell you i get sore from them in the lats and traps when i go heavy. I did romanian deads at 3x5 at 405 the other day and my upper back was very sore. It is kind of like a stiff except you bring the bar down against the legs pretty much, when the arch in your back is about to break ( which for me is around knee level) start back up the same way. Very fun, lol. These are pretty tough.
