Need urgent help - incorrect dose

My father recently started TRT a few months back and for the first two months he accidentally was doing 1cc twice a week for a total of 500mg of Test Cyp..... thinking it was 250..
He made great gains but knowing he was doing an incorrect dose I would of gotten him on an AI immediately. Hes back down to 250mg a week and its been about 3-4 weeks.. but now hes been complaing about his nipples, especially left because he's feeling a slight lump underneath. As well as the other day he left the gym he was in huge discomfort because it felt like both were EXTREMELY sore. We need to treat this asap. I have nolvadex available for him. would that be best to treat this? He is 5'10 in his late 50's about 175lbs. What dose for what amount of time would you guys recommend? thank you

Hi milton,

Technically yes but it was never supposed to be his first cycle, just TRT. He did the incorrect dose for about 8-10weeks.

few years ago he went to anti aging clinic and he was taking a TRT dose with GH.

I just found this: Tamoxifen: 40mg daily for one week. Then 20mg daily until gynecomastia is reversed.

Would you agree ?

I thbk you're correct with what you've found there. Some people also try raloxefene to reverse gyno. There is a link somewhere in one of the stickys about it by Austintine, I think.

I'm no expert but I think tamoxifen works as an ai as well as a serm. Might research that because if it's true, he may crash his e2 with just the trt dose.

I'm off to research it more as well, but someone will probably habe the answer before I get back.
Nope, it looks as if I pulled that info right out of my rectum. It's just an estrogen agonist from the 3 things I just read.

Nolvadex is not an ai, it is a serm. It will not lower e2 levels at all...

There's a thread about gyno in the ology faq's thread. You can get info on either nolvadex or ralox in there...

Milton and others on thread... I spoke to wise friend and he recommended taking arimidex at .5 eod or e3d.. To prevent any further growth as well. What do you guys think?

That's a large dose of adex for trt dose. Some people need none on trt and some use .25eod.

What I would probably do, for me personally, is start the nolva and if you have adex available, I'd probably run .25eod for a week, no longer.

I'll guarantee others will have differing opinions.

Awesome I appreciate the help. Anyone else have their input on whether to add in adex? And at what dose for how long? Thanks

Has he run blood work? On 250mg/wk there is a decent chance that be will need an AI.

Read the link provided below in my signature. There is a section on Gyno. Raloxifene is preferred, but Tamoxifen will do if you don't have it.

Get blood work!!!

Halfwit the Mod seems to be a great authority on this I would get his feedback.
Whoa now, I just play here, not a mod. I think you meant...

^ This guy. :)

(Whom of which I absolutely agree with.)

He got pre blood work done. Just now have to get his blood work currently asap.
I know we don't have bloods but should I get him on .25 adex eod temporarily until we can figure out where he's at?

Unreal! all this guess work OP. Get the labs and of course he should have been using and AI. When ever you add the exogenous Test you will shut down natural and then so your test will increase and you need that AI from day one.

Now of course if you have don the proper protocol with the labs then you can make the adjustments.

PLug that Adex in Now

I would get labs tomorrow and then start the AI. If you start the AI before getting labs you won't know where he is currently at so you can learn from it. So hold off the urge to make the change one more day so you can run labs. Does that make sense?

Agree, my mistake on telling you to start now. I'm so used to starting at day one. My bad, Meg!

reversed? no no. that's like saying you want to reverse the growth or your fingers. once the gyno is developed it is developed, and the only way to reverse it is to cut it out. i really hope that's not the case with your father and i really hope you guys caught the gyno developing in its early stages in which it can actually be stopped.

get an AI immediately if you haven't already. and that plan you posted with the tamoxifen sounds about right. good luck
