2.Should ab's go in with Chest? (mon)

man rip it apart if you like, as i said I couldn't read the impformation I just assumed all of this.

Thanks a haps needsize!

Well, it looks good except for the fact that you are doing arms the day before shoulders and back. Take into account that you use triceps in your shoulder workout via barbell presses, and you are using biceps for all your pulling movements in the back workout. That is a possible source of overtraining, IMO. Otherwise, it looks good to me.

Thats what I said man, I dont really know how the split is suppose to go. How would it best be set up?
Thanks!

If you look further in the 5x5 thread, I posted a new link
Heres my split
day 1 chest/calves
day 2 back/shoulders
day 3/4 rest
day 5 bis/tris/calves
day 6 quads/hams/abs
day 7 rest

I would change your split around, but the workouts look decent. I think you have too much for hams on leg day, drop one of the ham exercises and throw in hack squats or leg press for quads.
For back day, I like to do military press first. Then I do warmups for deads in between sets for side laterals, so by the time shoulders are done, I'm ready for the heavy deads. I find thats not enough work before deads to make me too tired for them

Thanks man! The 2nd link works but the link to the questions spatts posted doesnt work.
Is it cool to only have day 3 as a rest and then have 6-7 as a rest as well?
Mon-chest/calves
Tues-Back/shoulders
Wed-REST
Thurs-Arms
Fri- Legs
Sat-REST
Sun-REST

Woulnd't that be over training the upper body with mon-tues????????

the new split looks good. I've been doing back/shoulders the day after chest for years now and I've never felt like I was overtraining anything
