New 2 day a week routine

I've been very busy lately. I don't like my normal every other day routine anymore because I am totally out of energy by the end of the day after working. I only like working out in the afternoon or evening. I think that I should switch to a 2 day a week routine so I can devote a lot of energy for those workouts. I was looking at WSB I got the idea to do something like:

Tuesday:
Squats 2x5
Good Mornings 2x10
Pull-ups 2x5
Cable Row 2x10

Friday:
Military Press 2x5
Side Lateral Raises 4x10
DB Bench Press 2x5
Dips 2x10

These would both be like my ME days. Then maybe one 2 of my off days I can do something like light DE workouts, but be able to do it without going to the gym. Maybe some fast pushups one day and Sprints, Jumping or bodyweight squats another. What do you think?
 
Sometimes these workouts are great if you are a hard gainer and tend to overtrain, eventually you may have to up the intensity to sustain any progress.
 
I'm also trying a new routine after being stuck. I'm working up to 3 times per week but reduring the sets thru out the week. So far so good, no overtraining and my energy is good, soreness is minimal also.

But your sets are way too low. 2sets of 5 just for squats? That's 20reps for the entire week. I dont see how any growth could even come from this as it would just warm up your muscles. I just dont see much stimulation there in my opinion.

Did he mention he was doing it for powerlifting? Is he training for strenght or size? I didnt think so. :shoot2: Dont assume we're all powerlifters and I'll stop assuming we're all bodybuilders.
 
Im neither a powerlifter or a bodybuilder. I like gaining both mass and strength. Right now I'm training for strength because I think I am not strong enough to try volume training, although I'm getting close. After I diet down to around 10-12 % bodyfat I might try some type of volume training to try to get some hypertrophy.

A while ago I stopped doing deadlifts after doing them for 5 months strait. Now I am hitting my hams and lowerback hard with the good mornings. Do you think it is important to always have deadlifts in a routine? If so, why and what about the lack of variation?

why dont you go back to the porn section where you have some experince,. increased strength = incresed size. everyone of your posts in this section have been off base. go away.

Goodmornings are good but deads are more complete (you work also quads, forearms, traps). You can change your stance (wide/narrow) and do also SLDL.

So then why dont most PL dont look like BB? You post was off base because you assumed the guy was a PL. :flipoffha

Really? Chicks cant see strength when they are walking down the beach. But they will look at your muscles.
