New Guy- New Questions- Daily T Injections

Hi!

I have been experiencing low T for a while-levels ranging from mid 200s to low 400s. I'm 50, 9.5% BF, 192lbs.

I've found a doc that has been practicing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for about 3 years and I have my first appt with him in a few weeks. He originally became interested in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) because he found he himself had an issue.

We had a very long tel conversation and I feel extremely comfortable with him. The one thing he does that I don't see anyone discussing here is daily sub-q injections. On the surface, this seems to make a great deal of sense to me - no huge spikes and then valleys, near consistent levels at all times, etc...

Can anyone weigh in on why this does not seem to be discussed here and if there are any negative aspects of such a protocol, what they are.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Daily injections would be VERY tiny doses and once you've done a few, you'll understand why it's not desirable to continue with such a protocol as you not only start to run out of spots to inject, but with longer esters it's really not necessary. At least he's talking injections, not gels/creams/patches/pellets that most docs seem to be pushing nowadays. :)

A lot of us find that injecting intramuscularly or subQ every 3.5 days keeps levels pretty even. It seems to be a good balance between stable levels and convenience.

I've been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) over 2 years & the thought of daily injections are not very appealing even if doing subQ with a slin pin. Some guys swear by every 84 hours something that Cashout introduced some time back. I prefer to do my injects every 5 days.

Is it true that by using lower does more frequently, the chances of keeping Estradiol levels in check is increased?

My Estradiol level currently, prior to starting T, is 7.5 (7.6-42.6). Kinda low. Will I feel significant improvement with an elevated level?

Half life of Test C is one week. (outside of US, I think Test E is more common, which has a marginally shorter half life). Taking shots every day is therefore unnecessary.

Yes, it is true. But keep in mind the concept of diminishing returns. Going from 7 to 3.5 days will not have the same impact that going from 3.5 to 1.75 days will and so on. And there is a "cost" to pinning. You want to find the equilibrium. For most guys it is somewhere between ever 3 to 5 days.

You E2 is way to low. It is unhealthy to be that low. Thankfully, Test injections will increase your E2 due to aromatization. Ideally you want your E2 to be somewhere between 20-40.

You will feel significant improvement with normal TT levels and E2 in that "sweet spot". It is a balancing act.

Sorry for all the economics analogies. Hopefully that helps.

Exactly. Its fun to inject at first, but after years, the less the better.

Thanks Megatron. I believe I understand better after reading your post. I appreciate you taking the time to explain and offer helpful input.

So, it seems that 3.5 days is the sweet spot. With the half-life being 7 days, I should not see huge spikes or valleys using such a protocol because the T will still be active and doing it's thing.
