New labcorp range for testosterone taking effect soon

There was a note on my latest LabCorp blood test:

**Effective July 17, 2017 the reference interval for**
Testosterone, Serum Males >18 years old will be
changing to: Adult Males: 264 - 916

I imagine this may have some effect on TRT prescriptions.

what is the current reference interval?

Current is 348 to 1197. New upper limit is almost 300 lower

Damn....wow. It'll be harder to get TRT now. I guess it's good we all got in before the change

The average depends on the data set... previous data set was males 18-40 years old. I don't know where the new data comes from, but it probably includes the older guys.
