Congrats on the lift and good video too, nice and clear.

They say that the back MUST be straight when performing deadlifts, but everyone I've seen doing deads has their back slightly rounded. It's very hard to keep that dip in your lower back when reaching down to grab the bar, especially if you're tall.
Is it really that bad to have your back slightly rounded? It didn't seem to do you any harm JT.

3 white lights for the avatar.

At the risk of sounding like a total dumb-ass, what do you mean "3 white lights"?

I noticed my reputation points went up, is that what you meant?

What does it mean when you get a grey reputation instead of the usual green?

thanks :)

Thanks a lot guys!!!

BB, i'll check into the liquid chalk, thanks.

PB, so if your back is a little rounded, what does "three white lights" mean??? I guess I need to go watch a comp before I enter one huh:)

Their are 3 judges that wathc each lift you do at a PPL meeet. Each one hld a thing in their hand wired up toa a light. After your lift they either give youna white light if they found it acceptable or a red one if it wasn't. They don't care if your back rounds out. YOu can't hitch it though.
