New user needs help!!!

I have been a user for about 4 days now... When I get a private message and try to read it I get a screen saying that I might not have certain privliges, my account might be frozen, etc. WHY DOES THIS COME UP AND HOW DO I FIX IT please help

I believe you have to have a certain number of post to read or send private messages. I know it is 50 to send but not sure what to read, may be the same thing.
