Hi peeps!

newbie on this forum....friend recommended sustabol but I want to do more research before I dive in... can any of the experienced folks out here recommend where I should start?

I have been working out for about 9 months now, eating clean and getting proper rest. I'm also supplementing with Creatine Kre-akalyne and drinking temendous amounts of water. However, I'm not making any significant gains....

Any advice appreciated to stay motivated.....thanks in advance guys!

Stats:

Age : 35
Weight: 180lbs
BF%: 25%
Height: 5'6"

5'6" 180lbs and 25% bf
IMO you have a lot of work with diet and exercise before running a cycle.
Have you seen any reduction in BF over the last 9 months that you have been training?
What is your diet like?
I hope all works out for you bro, maybe getting a personal trainer that can show you how to properly workout and eat is best at this point.Stay determined bro, good luck

As others here will say, if you are not making any gaines naturally you will have a hard time with AS. You need to look at your training, rest, and when you say you are eating clean, what exactly are you eating? You need to get down to the root of the reason you are not seeing a difference before even thinking of wasting money on juice. I am sure its not what you wanted to hear but its the truth.

thanks for the quick reply folks.

To further explain my situation:

Date Start : March 1, 2010
Initial BF %: 31%

I saw the gains on the initial 4-5 months...then gains stopped...

Workout Routine: Weight Training 5x a week with 45 mins cardio
Supplements : Creatine Kre-Akalyne
Diet: 3 meals high on protein, med carb, low fat, no sugary drinks and plenty of water. Monster Milk for snacks (twice a day).

Any further advice?

you may not be thinking you have made gains cause you are still at a high BF%. Either way, I would continue doing what you are doing until you get down to 14-15% and see what gains you have made. Since you were a high BF% its better to get down in BF% first (all the while you could be gaining muscle as well) and then consider cycling. It appears you are doing well you just need to keep trucking. Doing AAS now would further your chances of getting fatter, which you don't want.

Patience is your friend here. Keep on with the diet and cardio and you will be there in no time. Then you can cycle and put on some good muscle with a fresh start.

Congrats on the loss in BF% by the way. Thats usually the hardest part... especially for us older guys. :D

thanks for all the advice man...

I also noticed that most of my BF was in the gut....all the nine months I worked and pushed hard, even my personal trainer noticed low BF on chest, back, arms and legs....makes me think its either my diet thats messed up or I'm not challenging my core enough....

don't get discouraged brother. You're doing great. Us guys hold our fat in our midsections. That's how were designed. Kind of like women and their asses and hips.

If you're losing everywhere else, its only a matter of time before it comes off the wiast line. No such thing as spot fat reduction naturally, so just keep on pressing. You'll get there. Even if you got some left when you get to the mid teens in BF%, if you start a cycle, and gain more muscle, you'll get added help there as well.

Why don't you post up your daily diet and maybe we can tweek some things for you.

I'm thinking of increasing the cardio, sticking to the strict diet (although it will be very hard sicne its Thanksgiving), and maybe getting a quality fatburner....

Im a PT my self(which dosent mean to much)but I have had many clients where they lose BF every where but the stomach area and throw research I found this is some times caused by cortisol(stress hormone)which due to high levels of stress and poor sleeping patters causes belly fat but not the type of fat you might be thinking of its behind the muscle and very hard to get rid of...So like previously stated keep at it,and those are good options your thinking. Also try your best to alleviate stress in your life and get a full 8 hrs of sleep every night.
Good luck bro

thanks for the motivation guys...I will like you all said keep on truckin' and check back by year end...hopefully, I can get to a more lower BF by that time....best of luck to all of you here....cheers!

@drewbolic - you might be spot on here...I am a frequent traveller due to my job and travel back and forth from the US to Latin America every two weeks. I have figured a way around snacking during 10 hour flights and airports but sleep is something which evades me most of the time. I try not to miss a workout.....even if it means pushing myself right after I get off the plane....maybe rest is key.....will surely try your advice....

More cardio is a good idea, I start with 30 min for a month, then I increace it a little longer each time, I hate cardio but I can run 10 miles without stoping one time, just force yourself to do it and the results will come.
