looking for some help guys. im 33 in decent shape and have not had a decent libido since maybe 28ish. i would say before my trt i had anxiety and depression with a shorter temper. i always felt tired, body parts that always hurt, and just not wanting to do anything. i started the trt with my doctor for maybe 1.5 years now and feel for the most part great.. other then libido. i think i must be the first patient he has put on testosterone since he really doesnt know much, but im thankful for atleast what i have so far. i am on 75mgs of testosterone cyponate. he will only test my testosterone and free test but is not willing to check all hormones. i went to a endo and she said my 299ng test level was not low testosterone and she would never have put me on test. she recommended i get off test and maybe i need some antidepressants! does anyone know a doc in sacramento that knows more about trt therapy? should i just do my own lab test? and try to adjust my own estrogen levels with your guys help?how do my numbers look?

pre trt 299ng test free 0.257
100mg once a week 1098ng test free 1.236
60mg once a week 545ng test free .472

i am prescribed 75 mgs a week now but only took the 60mgs because i was just trying to get below the 728ng to keep my doctor happy. i think with the 75 mgs i am probably around 800ngs.

Can you post your blood work results? I am not sure how likely it is that something is off and affecting your libido, but it gives us a place to start. Please include the normal ranges too. I would definitely like to see what your estradiol is at.

Things like high estradiol normally do not lower one's libido; rather it just makes it so having erections is difficult. You didn't indicate that you are having erection problems. Just the desire for sex isn't there, right?

By the way, total testosterone of 299ng/dl is definitely hypogonadism. Your endo was wrong.

By the way, if you do not have recent complete blood work, please refer to my signature at the bottom of this post. You can get blood work without going through your doc. It is cheap, easy and fast. Use the privatemdlabs one since your TT will be below 1500.

Again, if your NEVER have libido since starting TRT, I am not confident the answer lies in your blood work but it is a place to start. If you sometimes have a libido, that would be a different story.

hey guys. I'm new to here and somewhat new to taking some supps. I'm training for my very 1st show next March. I've been taking Test cyp at 500 cc for the past 12 weeks and EQ at 300 cc for the same. I'm dropping test Cyp for the next 4 weeks to 250 cc and eliminating EQ for the next 4 weeks. My question is my sex drive and overall performance has dropped extremely LOW! sometimes can't even perform even by trying 100mg of viagra! WOW. my body is getting to where I would like to look physically. However I'm really looking to get the sex drive back and be back at it.

Any recommendations out there that I can try to increase sex drive and stamina while taking Test cyp?

You need to start your own thread in the anabolic forum. One, this is the the TRT forum. Two, it is poor etiquette to hijack someone else's thread.

That's the thing.. The doctor will not check my other hormones. I had no libido or real desire to have sex before trt and now I would say its about the same. Sometimes I do feel like when it's closer to my next shot I feel better.. It's mainly just lack of desire but even if I end up having sex the feeling is way dull with low amount of semen. Mentally and physically I feel much improved. He did check regular things like lipids, glucose, thyroid, d3, magnesium and everything is fine.

You need HCG the feeling will be less "dull".

OK, so let's go back to the basics then. We need to see your blood work. Get labs on your own by using privatemdlabs. Let's see your prolactin too.

Just reading your first post and I see an endo told you you're 299 ng/dl TT is not hypogonadal. That Endo (like many I saw) could give 2 turds bout your well being.
Antidepressants? ??
Testosterone that functions right in the body is what is needed. Tell that broad endo how the antidepressants are going to curb insulin resistance, and help against cardiovascular disease or ********* sybdrome, increase in visceral fat not to mention palpitations that ALL arise from low T. You're 28 y.o.?
Tell her how much worse do you have to get to be treated.
man do I loathe conventional endos.

Of you come off Test you won't be at 299 ng/dl and theres no guarantee you will even recover that hypogonadal T level.
You been on for a year now. No HCG too I assume. ..
I would just stay put before you let strangers mess with you and you wind up a mess.
Trust me i know what I'm talking about.

thanks for all the info sir! right in the beginning of the consultation when she said 299ng is normal and i asked normal for a 33 yr old? she replied yes! i knew this shit wasnt going anywhere. its crazy how doctors will push antidepressants but wont give you a hormone your body makes normally. i will get some more labs and get back to you guys.
