Nolvadex and vertigo

Im a week into my pct (tamox) and I have been experiencing bouts of severe vertigo in the last two days.

I spoke with my physician and he said it was unlikely that such symptoms manifested from the use of nolva. He did recommend that I stop taking it, however.

This is my first experience with vertigo and I have used the EXACT same nolva for a prior pct without any complications.

Has anybody else experienced these symptoms? I have three weeks left and im trying to find a reasonable solution without exacerbating the current problem or the problem that could arise from cessation.

Any info. is appreciated.

your doctor is an idiot.. a common side effect of nolvadex is dizziness/light headed.. and it gets worse with alchohol..

He actually mentioned dizziness but he said vertigo is generally a rarer effect that shouldnt be as prevelant with such a compound, regardless of the commonalities between the two symptoms.

I was skeptical of this though considering nolva is the only thing I have been using for the past week.

Also, to the recommendation about clomid, I can get it but it will take some time. However, I do have immediate access to toremifene. Unfortunately, from the literature I have seen torem can manifest symptoms (e.g. dizziness, nausea, etc...) similiar to that of tamox. Im just not too keen on the idea of halting pct progression for too long so Im entertaining the idea of switching in hope that my condition will dissipate. Thoughts?

i agree i would try tor before clomid.. clomid seems to give the most people side effects.. but again every1 is different and youll need to find which 1 is for you..

I've never heard of nolva giving people disabling vertigo. I think the doctor is definitely not looking out for your best interest if he's satisfied writing off the vertigo by saying "stop taking the nolva..that's "probably" it"...His passive approach would scare me. Its always a bad idea to mention your use of any type of male hormone. Once its on your record, it will always be the reason for future illnesses. You need to get a check up like any average guy..and do not mention taking any type of hormones. You need someone to look at your health completely and not write you off as a juiced up guy creating his own illnesses.

Yesterday, I spoke with another physician and I had to perform an entire panel of tests. He basically diagnosed me with benign paroxsymal positional vertigo (BPPV).

He was checking for neurological deficits (e.g. from a stroke etc...) but found nothing suggesting that being the cause. I also recevied a script for meclizine to inhibit the accompanying nausea/vomiting. He suggested an MRI if my symptoms persist after a week. He basically conceded that this condition was idiopathic.

I have read some anecdotes with nolva causing vertigo and dizziness, but they're uncommon.

I purchased my nolva/torem from a well known research site. What are the chances of getting something that may have been contaminated?

*update*

I switched from nolva to toremifene three days ago and now the condition seems to be worse than before.

I scheduled an appointment to have an MRI done on Friday. However, I genuinely believe the problem is strongly correlated with this product(s).

Has anyone ever had a problem with Rstops (my nolva and torem) products in the past?

This has become debilitating to say the least and im desperate to find a viable solution.

you do realize that telling your doctor your on nolva or have been on a cycle is a risk dont you ?

the first physician I explained as being on a legal pro-steroid with a follow up PCT protocol of nolvadex. (also, this was not paid for through my insurance and was not filed s such)

the second doc i decided not to disclose the info. just in case it would be passed off as the problem and the remedy would causally be to cease using it.

unless you are talking about a potential breach of physician-patient prvilege.

your insurance company has acess to your medical records based on his reports. he doesnt have to tell on you for them to find out.

My contract (involves group health insurance) has different stipulations. I allow one such background check including but not limited to medical records. If asked by my employer for examination or re-check than it must be authorized by me.

Also, its important to file a request to your physician (outside your healthcare plan) about non-disclosure to insurance companies. Although you would obivously not be getting reimbursed by your insurance and would pay in full out of your own pocket.

Now these requests can be denied by your physician, but many physicians will honor it if the criteria is met above. As I said before, my first physician did not file that information at my request.

It can be a risk but also not disclosing said info can have more deleterious implications as well.

anyway, has anyone had success with rstops products? any side effects in particular worth noting?

I had the same exact thing happen to me once I started Tamox. The crap scared me bad. it hit me while I was driving too. It was a weird sense of imparity for only a couple seconds.I now know not to mess with Tamox. I do plan on starting another cycle in Feb and I want to be sure I do the correct PCT, but I cannot mess with Tamox and I think Torem will have similar sides with me. I will just be sure to be dilligent with an AI during cycle and finish with Clomid. Maybe some Ralox during PCT if gyno shows.
