oil coming back out of injecting spot.

i did a deep delt injection, injected slowly, and remove the needle really slow, this is the first time it has happened but a whole lot of the ML came out. not just a little. kinda sucks.
anyone know why this could be?

I would say inject at a slower rate. You may already do that but go slower. Then let the pin stay in for a while after, then slowly pull it out. This may help....May not too

I always pull out relatively slow.

One thing you could try is pulling the skin a little before you stick the pin in, then when you pull out the hole in the skin moves away from the depot site.

try a z-track injection... pull your skin in one direction like mudge said inject and when you pull the needle out the hole in your skin doesnt line up with the hole in your muscle so it shouldnt leak out of your leg and whatever does leak will stay close enough to your muscle that it will be absorbed

When you inject your making a path in/out. So the gear will flow up out the neddle path. What I do, I know what inject spots on me this happens... I rub the area before I pull the pin out and I make sure Im not flexing that muscle. That helps me.

Ding! Ding! This is the correct answer. He's already pulling the pin out slowly. What he needs to do is to keep the pin in until the pressure from the injection has been reduced, then pull the pin.

I have this problem too, but only in my shoulders. Quads, calves are not a problem. I pull the pin out quickly. I'll try to slow it down during my next cycle.

I only have this problem when I'm at a low body fat %. Anything above 12% is not a problem.

This happens all the time to new insulin dependent diabetics using insulin pins sub-q. It is suggested that the injection be done slowly, then upon completion count to 5 slowly (one-thousand-one, etc.).

If that does not work, then do a "Z-Track" injection as mentioned above.

I think injecting fast can cause this, and like the others said pulling back slowly might help
