which do you guys think is better?

You'd be working your entire body 3 and 4 days a week. You're only giving your muscles one day to rest. Bad idea, your body grows out of the gym. Way overtraining.

ok well i decided not to do it.. im doing the 2 days on and one day off and work 2 - 3 body parts on my gym days :P

Actually that depends on what he's trying to accomplish.

If he's doing moderate weight weights and limited sets then he'll be fine.

It's not a good routine for gaining muscle but it's good for losing body fat.

Depending on how hard you train, 5-7 days rest between bodyparts is a good rule to follow. Some people claim they get good results on 3-4 days between bodyparts, but I find it leads to burnout.

If you are watching the volume, then total body is fine - if you are just in this for general fitness. Without insane conditioning its very hard to challenge yourself strength wise with a full body workout, these routines just aren't built for that.

Jane Fonda types, sure.
