When using email sellers via the internet I've always used western union, have any of you guys tried cashiers check? This is the method that is requested in my situation. Kinda sounds fishy. What are your thoughts?

it depends really...some trusted sources allow you to use cash in mail...which i have done numerous times...but never a cashiers check

Well, a cashier's check can only be cashed by the recipient.

kacoe: your source can screw you whether you use WU or a cashier's check. Make sure that you are using a trusted source. Do a source check, etc. If the source doesn't come with references or you don't feel like you can trust the source, then don't use that source....even if you have no other sources available.

Oh yeah, I was thinking check made out to cash, I should read more carefully.
