Please do not run source checks by me anymore

I really hate to sound snobby or shallow guys, but please do not email or PM me anymore source checks. Theres way too much at stake with me owning the site and with my personal information in the hands of the people who register domain names as well as the server of this site. Its just bad business.

We have plently of Mods available to do source checks here. They also typically run every source check through the Moderator forum if they arent familiar with the particular source you have requested a check on. All of the Moderators here have their secure email addresses in their signatures as well so getting a hold of them is not hard.

And please, only do source checks through secure email. Do not PM mods for source checks and do not email them from unsecure email accounts. With all that is going on lately, I hope you understand the seriousness of this game we are in and that being safe should be number one on everybodies priority list.

Again, sorry if it sounds like I am being all high and mighty but my situation is a little different then a lot of you in that I am no longer completely anonymous. So please do not email me source checks, if you do they will go unanswered. Sorry.

Hey Biggie, some of the boards have a forum specifically to do source checks that only the mods and the people who posted the source check can see. If something like that was set up here, only the mods who wanted to respond or had knowledge of the source could reply. Just a thought.

I know that seems like a good idea and believe me, for the members, its a great invention.

But for the owner of the site, it is my opinion that if it came down to it, you are on the fence as to whether or not you are contributing to a crime. Trust me, I know that its bullshit and that its hard to think about it like that. But conspriacy to traffic drugs is somewhat open as to what it entails. If I knowingly brought you to a drug dealers house so you could purchase drugs, thats conspiracy. I know of an acquaintance that is doing 6 years in a Federal Prison for something very similar. So really, by opening up a source check forum for the members, dont you think that its cutting it pretty close there? I mean, we would basically be saying "ya, this dealer is good, go ahead and use him, and hey, say i sent ya". Its just too close a call for me and I would hate to put myself in jeopardy like that, as well as my staff.

Now Im not saying that a source check forum is a terrible idea and that anyone who does it is going to get busted. Thats not what Im saying. Im just saying that at Steroidology, we try to be on the safe side at all times and when something comes up where its on the fence as to what way we could proceed, we err on the side of caution.
