Coconut oil is a saturated fat. That's bad for LDL.
Not all saturated fats are created equal. A study in 2009 found that 75% of those that had a heart attack had "normal" cholesterol levels. There is more here than meets the eye.
This is why IMT suggests getting a LPP particle test if your concerned about your cholesterol, just like fats not all cholesterol is created equally.
In moderation I believe coconut oil has the most benefits.
