if you man picking your butt up by arching your back you can put your feet farther out in front of you on the floor before you start so that when you drive with your legs [ i do ] you dont have enough travel to come off the bench . if you mean a arch i always arch my back but my butt stays planted
I got short legs. ;) If I'm forcing a rep my butt is coming off the bench. When I bring my feet up I feel I have more power.

rubberduckyo, You need to concentrate on letting your pecs and tris do the work, not your legs, try to pinch your shoulder blades against the bench, but relax your legs...

but as you lift heavier weight when your strength goes up you wont have a solid base with your feet together so balance will be a problem . if short legs is the problem place a plate under your feet , lots of people do it .

rubberduckyo, If you have too for your legs, put one of those cardio steps at the end of the bench to put your feet on if you are too short for that bench...

I'm gonna have to do that. You're right. It is a bit unstable position.

I already do that on squats. ;)

rubberduckyo, And the ego thing is why Flat Bench is the most injury exercise out there, I use Declines and Inclines for the last 15 years...

Thanks!!! Also i would like to pm you dadawg but i dont have enough posted messages yet. Thanks alot for the advice and im sorry if i came across as a dick i didnt mean to, i just simply didn't know!

day 1=chest-tris

day 2=back - bi's

day 3=off

day 4=legs-calves-abs

day 5=shoulders - traps

day 6=off

day 7=off

ive used this for a while now, and it seems to work fine. hope it helps, and good luck.

in answer to your question...."i dont see how im traing tris 4 times a week"

"Oh yeh heres my workout schedule:
everday i do cardio right wh en i wake up for 40 minute on bike
monday - chest and bi's
tuesday - back and tri's
wednesday - trapz and shoulders
thursday - legs
friday - bi's and tris "

you train tri's with the pressing movements involved with chest. (1)
you train tri's directaly twice a week. (2)
you train tri's with the pressing movements involved with shoulders. (1)

1+2+1=4 times a week =IMO overtraing

read the 5x5 traing method stickied in the traing section, its helped me get past my sticking points.
