Obamacare and the coverage you get for being a federal employee are completely different.
Thanks for this, I've ton a ton of reading about this, but being in the military I don't have many Doc options, but I've seen a Urologist, so I'm not sure if I can tell my Primary I'm unhappy and want to see an Endocrinolgist. Is my LH of 2.9 good? Also why do they only recommend morning tests? If your morning T was 700 but afternoon T was 190, you would feel great in the AM and crappy in PM! I mean maybe there is no way if can drop that low, but for someone like me, even 385 in the AM isn't below 350, but if I drop down to under 200 after 1230pm, then all afternoon I feel like crap. Unless morning T should keep you going all day, but I don't see much of that talked about, only to get it done in the AM.
Also my Doc is saying that everyone is different so the total T is just a number. 300 for him is different that 300 for me. (I feel like that is easy for him to say because I never had a baseline T taken in my 20's). Is any of that true?
I feel I might be lost until I retire in 3-4 years and can just pay for it on my own. Does anyone know how much T injections weekly along with an Estrogen blocker and possibly HCG would cost per year if you paid for it on your own with zero insurance?
Well I don't see either/or having stellar reviews by the general public. Look at the mess with the VA on the news.
getting labs run in the morning at a labcorp facility. I'm going to get them done at around 8:30 to 9:00 am. I see its recommended between 7-11am, but i'm not sure how much of a difference an hour either way will make. I'm guessing tomorrow's labs will tell me how much i want to push and pursue. I'm sure the military docs won't do hcg and clomid protocols since the meds are to treat female fertility. I was thinking of also maybe getting a stimulation test for my pituitary to see if hgh is at the proper levels also.
I am active duty as well and have been for about 13 year. I got a referral to endo off base...This is essential. Find a good knowledgeable endocrine doc and demand a referral from your pcm. I've been on trt for over a year now and i self inject. The military has no issues with my medication protocol but if i had not gotten that referral then i likely wouldnt be on trt today.
I may have missed it, but what service are you in?
So I got back my lab results. Any thoughts on what is going on would be helpful:
Total Testosterone 269 ng/DL Ref 349-1197 ng/DL
LH 3.1 miu/mL Ref 1.7-8.6 miu/ml
FSH 1.6 miu/ml Ref 1.5-12.4 miu/ml
Estadiol 12.7 pg/ml Ref 7.6-42.6 pg/ ml
Albumin 4.7 g/DL Ref 3.5-5.5 g/DL
Do those numbers put up any red flags?
