Post contest rebound/gear

How do you guys handle this and what do you recommend?

Since I'm using winstrol right up to the show (6 weeks on it total), I'm not going to use any orals.
I'll be with test e/tren/winny into the show.

I figure just test+peptides is the best way.

Test E or Prop (maybe prop is better so I can get an immediate boost?) 500-750mg (I used 500precontest)

Then IGF-1 10-20mcg per day PWO or in the morning on off days.

I might be starting GH after the show, if i do it will be 3-4iu per day.

Thoughts? If you don't want to read all my writing then just write down your recommendations postcontest :)
 
When you finish your contest sip on water only.
Do not go home and drink gallons.

And do not go feed your face with all sorts of sodium and carbohydrate rich foods.
If you do so, do it for 24hrs max.

The combo of being depleted and dehydrated then just gorging yourself will lead you to put on 20lbs or so in a couple of days, and if you continue like this you will have edema all over your body, and can cause complications eith your heart and
Bp.

Take it slow after contest.

why are you guys running long esters right up to your show? are you looking for water retention on stage?

long esters should be dropped 6 weeks out, short should be dropped, 2 weeks (maybe a week) out. and you shouldnt pin anything the week before, or you could wind up with a big knot on stage.

1. Because it's a myth that long esters will make you hold water
2. If 1 is actually incorrect, then an extra dose of an A.I. will quickly solve the problem
3. Because my prep coach is a VERY accomplished national competitor and this is what he recommends (I'm also likely following his advice for post-show stuff, but I'm also open to extra opinions)
 
i dont compete but know quite a few that do. I was not implying that long esters make you hold water, although there is a small amount of truth to it due to ester build-up.

what makes you hold water is Testosterone, or conversly estrogen.

so it just makes sense to me to drop long esters early, and switch to short ones, this is for timing reasons only.

I personally have always been taught that you dont want supra-physiological levels of T when you hop onstage. or else you will hold water.

So by swithching to short esters, or even suspension close to the comp, these allows you to run test longer. the reason is if i run Test e up til the show there is now way i could get my levels down quick enough. but if i switch to prop i can run it 2 weeks from the show, then if i switch to suspension i can run right up to the show? following me? this is if the goal is to get the test out of your system before show in order to drop water. when i come of test i automatically lose 8 LBS

I have not noticed a difference to be quite honest between running prop or enan prior.

As long as your estrogen is low, your carbs are low, and your water and sodium in check you shouldn't hold a significant amount of water for you to loose a contest.
Also, if your bf% is low, and you carb up properly, time your diuretic.

I'm far from pro, lol, so that might be a different ball game, but at the amateur level, I have not noticed a difference.
 
like i said i cant argue cause i have no experience, but it was my understanding to make sure you did not have supra T levels when competing, i could very well be wrong.
