Couldn't find too much info on this, so i was just curious what most of you think or know. At the pro bodybuilding level, what do you think they are taking and at what dosages? large amounts of aas combined with igf-1 and growth hormone? Or do some pro's only use aas? Do you think they post cycle therapy (pct) or just cruise?

a more important question is what is the guy in your avatar useing , hes a much of a man.

you will read post all over the internet by guys who swear they are buddies with a pro and the will swear they are telling you what they use buts not that easy. i doubt any tell the whole truth.

From what I have read, large amounts of IGF and GH, and not nearly as much AAS as you would think.

At the pro level, genetics is far more important than drugs.

Just about anybody who puts in the time, training, and does some drugs can be competitive nationally.

Genetics is what really separates national level also rans like me from pros.

Pros don't use anything except protein shakes. Don't you read the advertisements in those muscle mags. Seriously, if you really knew the crazy shit they put there bodies through you would never want to compete at that level.

a good routine, perfect diet, and a lot of dedication

thats what really separates the pro's from the rest of us mortals, not how much gear they use

I remember lee priest saying he only uses like 1 cc of deca a few months out of the year lol.

Honestly since I learned a tiny bit about powerlifting in the past few years, I don't really care what bodybuilders take. I am much more interested in what the powerlifters and olympic lifters take, more so the ones who are in good physical shape. I lost interest when I started seeing more and more body builders who don't use compound lifts or free weights at all.

At a pro level, its more than just drugs. Its time, dedication, focus, its a combination of everything. Of course, the drugs do help!!!

Cashout hit the nail on the head. I posted this in another thread and will repeat it here.

Just my thought here in regards to today's pros:

1. It is much easier to stay in that shape when BB is your life. If you have to eat every three hours, sleep on your schedule, and workout when you have to, then it is easier than us Joes who have to work for a living and dependent on the schedules of others. Not hatin, just sayin.
2. A lot of these guys have sponsorships, so they get all the supplements (protein powders, etc.) they want.
3. When you mix so much gear and GH, etc. for long periods of time without much time off, you end up looking like Jay Cutler. If you ever meet the guy, look at his freaky hands. Sad to see, but what GH abuse does....surprised the guy can hold a pen.
4. Remember that these guys bulk big time in the offseason when gear use picks up, so they look bigger and fat as shit. Not like the Golden era. Ever seen Arnold off-season? Much smaller.
5. Also remember that these guys represent 1/10 of 1% of the genetic pool for this sport.

Many will say they knoww what pros take, but unless you watch what they do, consider it BS. I also doubt that all pros follow the same drug routines.

That's all it is.

I know 2 pro's and a handful of national competitors and they do not take the absurd amounts that most people think they do.

Although there are guys out there that do, and it is definately necessary for them to take large amounts of gh and aas, but quite a few guys, and I'm not talking Coleman or Cutler, who can get way with less than what you think.

I've met some extremely huge people, like 5'8 230 lean who take less than a gram of gear. But I also know guys on 2g's who take 6iu's of gh a day who are also equally as big, but maybe slightly bigger. Also a buddy of mine is 5'10 250 and uses relatively nothing.

It's genetics or else I'd be 300 at 5'5, I'm currently sittting at a hefty 214. And that's with slack training and diet over the last year.
