Progress Killers

Three of the biggest progress killers are.

I don't "feel" like I'm doing enough.

I don't "feel" sore enough.

I don't "feel" like I am getting a good enough pump.

All that stuff is TOTALLY irrelevant if you are making good progress and getting stronger each week.

first thing i always ask someone , is are yuo getting stronger .

But seems that everyone and their mother asks what do you curl or bench.

I alwalys hear trainers at the gym telling everybody to use light weights, do a lot of reps and get pumped. I even hear them saying that getting stronger is not important. No one squats neither do deads. They are all skinny like school girls.

Good post IA.

agreed.

when i did PT i was guilty of the same thing. I had my clients stay away from squats and deads but thats because I felt most of them really didnt want to get that into their training, and i believe squats and deads take a hell of alot out of a person. I do them weekly and enjoy them. Im back to more of a powerlifting rountine based on the 5x5 and im seeing great gains in power and size. Although now that im back working out like this, I would throw all my clients on similar regimines if i was still working there.

I would never disgrace him by calling him that. Maybe a powerlifting specialist?
true but from what i understand he helps/works out with more than just PL'ers though..not that i would say that you were actually calling PB a fag...i do agree MOST PT's are douche bags, and know very little out sideo f high rep low wts get you cut...lol

if i find the time too i plan on finishing up this damn ISSA PT cert and finsh up a degree in nutrition. i just need to pull my head out of my ass at some point. :(
