So I finally got a ProMixx blender and went ahead and decided to get the upgrade kit to go along with it. I thought, "why do I really need a fancier version of a container I can just shake to accomplish the same thing?"
I was wrong.
lol
The motor is practically silent. You add the water or milk, dump the powder in, put the cap on, and press the button. And then it's just like a little Jetson's car taking off (seriously, remember that sound?) and poof, all mixed up (just like 311...yep).
The initial package has your container, lid, and motor, which requires 2 triple A batteries.
The upgrade kit comes with a new lid, a rechargeable motor via the included USB cable, and a little thing called a Nutripod that fits over the motor/bottom to store goodies in (haven't used that yet, though).
Both motors work equally well, but I love having the USB chargeable one. It's just nifty.
And both pop right off so you can wash/clean everything else.
My biggest fear was that it wasn't big enough to handle as much as I wanted to add (still haven't really crossed that bridge entirely yet), but I did find that you can take and add part of it, mix it, take the lid off, add the rest, and repeat. That works very well. That was my concern with my post workout shake which is 2 scoops of isolate, a scoop of Karbolic and some creatine monohydrate -- a lot more than just 2 scoops of protein or a pre-workout (and thicker).
So my initial thoughts are very positive and I love this thing. Great piece of technology to incorporate in to get rid of the days of gritty and/or chunky shakes.

(you can find it in one of 3 colors above and the upgrade kit, as well)
