I've had my prostate checked several times. It is a necessary factor of age. Something none of us should be afraid to do. I also had a blood workup before my cycle began, and my PSA was normal.
That being said, I have had several bouts with BPH. The last one was this evening. This last one, I knew was because of the juice I am on, because in addition to the uncomfortable feeling, I was cranky as shit. (Don't tell me men can't be hormonal.) Anyway, I still had a workout to do this evening, but I felt like climbing into bed.
I have tried finisteride many times, and yes, it is effective. I have also been working on a (personal) theory, which was the result of something I read some time ago that mentioned that BPH was caused by the conversion of Test to DHT by the 5AR receptors, not the DHT itself.
Back to this evening. I had a choice to make--climb into bed or find a solution. I chose not to climb into bed. I also chose not to take finisteride. I chose instead to take Methyl-DHT. Not only did my prostate shrink back to into a 'normal' space within a half hour, but I also had one hell of a leg workout.
I've read all the theories, most written by those who have never experienced these problems. Sometimes, I have to trust my gut, or in this case, my prostate. This is not the first time I have tried this and had the same successful result.
DHT is not the devil. Taken exogenically, it can help prevent the 5AR conversion from happening. And in addition, the androgenic properties of DHT are of major benefit for reducing fat. And, I have absolutely no problem 'getting it up'.
