rule of thumb is 2g per lb of BW for juicing and 1.5 if you clean. it may vary from individual to individual but thats a starting point.

Hey PB......I know you're a big guy, so tell me how the hell you get the 2g/lb of bw in your diet. I have really been having trouble getting all the protein in without going to the extreme on carbs, or waaaaaaay over on calories. Im up to 192 from 173 in just 6 weeks, so its working, but when I start a cycle I'm going to need to up the protein even more. (right now i get between 1.5 and 2g/lb.) Just curious how you get the amount of protein you need. Maybe it will help some of us who can't get it straight.

Protein shakes........:D

Alright, the conflicting opinions are going to fly now. Some say only 1 shake a day. Some say 2, some 3. What is the educated opinion of StoneCold on how many g's of protein you should injest from shakes each day? Should this decrease on "off" days? I think everyone on this board has a different answer to this question.

So SC?

I'd say have protein shakes no closer than 4 hours together.

If I wanted to really gain some mass, I'd wake up and have a protein shake with food, 4 hours later have another, 4 hours later have another, and if I'm awake long enough, have another 4 hours later with food.

Key point is always with food and not in place of food. The spikes in amino acids in the blood is supposed to be anabolic.

Here's my meal schedule on workout days;

Meal 1 - breakfast - 6:00AM
Meal 2 - Protein shake with flax oil - 9:00AM
Meal 3 - Lunch - 11:30AM
Meal 4 - Protein shake with flax oil - 2:00PM
Meal 5 - Post workout shake, 2:1 ratio of Dextrose/Protein - 5:00PM
Meal 6 - Supper - 6:30PM
