Puffy hands and feet..................

On week 3 of test cyp. Just admitted to myself that yes, in fact my feet and hands are puffy. I can barely get my wedding ring off and my feet feel uncomfortable in a favorite pair of boots. Is this a side effect of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? If so, what can I do about it? I'm usually pretty good about watching my salt intake. Thanks.

Ok, I looked it up...Anastrozole = Arimidex. So you're saying my estradiol may be spiking and I'm retaining fluids as a result?

That is most likely precisely what is going on, you will have to lower dose, add Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or both.

Unless you can track down why you are aromatizing so much, and fix the problem there.

Jeesh, I'm only taking 100mg and the last shot was almost two weeks ago. Along with the cyp I'm taking 25 DHEA and 50 pregnonolone. Is that really enough to send me over the top? Why else could I be aromatizing? Thanks for the quick answers.

That is enough test to spike your E2. Smaller doses taken more frequently can lower your amount of aromatization. So for example, instead of 100mg once per week you could take 50mg every 3.5 days.

I was sitting here pondering that very same thing as I recently read where you recommended the same thing to somebody else. But I'm only taking 100mg every two weeks. So should I try 50mg every week? That's not much in a 3ml syringe. I'm switching docs from the urologist from hell back to my regular doc and I was going to beg him to let me do 100mg a week. Now what do I do?

How long have you been on this protocol and what kind of TT level is that resulting in for you? Other than the swelling how are you feeling on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? Without knowing more I can't really recommend if you should change your test dose. In general though, the more test you take the more issues you will have with E2. More frequent dosing can only do so much. At some point an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) becomes necessary with the higher test doses.

I thought it was my 3rd, but actually I'm winding up my 4th week of test cyp. First injection was 200mg, 2 weeks later I got 100mg. It's now been 2 weeks since that and I'm due another 100mg shot on Friday. Honestly I've still been feeling pretty bad...all the usual issues. That's why I was so bent on convincing my PCM to up me to 200mg and pinning 100mg a week. My last blood work was right before I got put on test cyp. Total test had dropped from 540 to 176 on androgel. E2 was not tested. My next bloodwork was scheduled for 10 Sep, but that was with the old doc I will no longer see. I would imagine my regular PCM would like to get a new baseline before he starts anything. The only bad thing about my PCM is that whole operation is slow. I imagine by the time I get a new blood test and then get the results back and then get him to do something about it will take 3-4 weeks. I'm tired of feeling bad. I understand your hesitation...this is via the internet...but my appointment with my PCM is not until 11 Sep. What do I do between then and now? Continue with doctors orders, puffy hands/feet and all.
