Pulling the sled...

Im welding my own sled for GPS {sic} training and wanted to know what routines you follow for pulling it. I mean do you walk out in your backrard and load 45lbs and walk around for 5 mins? whats the program for this that they recomend? I know Westside uses it... Do they have a routine?

My muscle endurance is in the crapper and Im getting a bit on the fat ass side. So I need to kick my own ass a liitle!

just pull it. frontwards and backwards. add distance and weight as time goes on.

i use 2 plates on mine and pull it .2miles 2-3 times per week. damn i forgot to post my sled work for the last couple of weeks. duhhhhh...

grass is much tougher than pavement. my sled weighs about 45 lbs empty.

I pull twice a week for time, meaning 2 20 minute sessions with 135-155 TOTAL weight (my sled weighs 45 lbs) and once after ME squat/dead day for 4,50 yard passes with 300-325. If you are new to sled work, leave out the heavy day until you are in great shape. The heavy sled will SQUISH recover if not worked into slowly.
