I usually leave the needle in for about 20 seconds after injection just so there is less of a chance of anything going in if I passes a blood vessel on the way into the muscle or anything.
You'll be fine bro! You injected into a vein. Make sure to pull back a liitle on your syringe to see if any blood comes back. If its does push in a little farther or relocate your site. I did that on my left shoulder 4 days ago I had the same taste. Except blood shot out all over the place when I pulled out the needle. Teach me to be in a hurry. Next time I will do shit right hahah
I heard great things about doing a Z-Track injection to prevent leakage. But I am unsure if that is simply back out, or if it also aids in keeping it from seeping into surrounding tissue as a whole.
