Question Regarding Cardio

Noxious

Unsung Hero
Whenever I'm at the gym I see some of the biggest guys there (biggest as in insanely muscular, insanely cut) doing very low intensity cardio.

Just wondering why people would do such low intensity cardo? Someone told me once that too much high intensity cardio can burn muscle, is that true?.

Diet is the key to building muscle and low bodyfat. Cardio is an adjunct to only sustain bf levels or help get off that final 1%. Or it is only used as a warmup and cooldown. Many BBs who diet properly hardly do cardio at all. They get enough aerobic benefit from intense training.

Precontest, most BBs hit the treadmill twice a day at a brisk walk and set the angle way up (10-15%) or they stairstep. You'll still hit 130 bpm for 20 minutes, burn 400 cals and prevent atrophy. Your joints will thank you. Whatever cardio you choose, you need it to be as low impact as possible if you want to keep your muscle tissue.

OR HIIT Cardio .

Study's show this burns fat the best and actually increases natural growth hormone.

Plus it will kick your ass up and down first time you do it, assuming you did it right!
