rack deadlifts

can someone please explain how to do rack deadlifts, if you have a link w/ a pic that would be great.
 
there are some shots of millie in there. look around, or maybe the girl in that atavar of yours will volunteer for some pull thrus.
 
got it, thanks bro's. so basically it's a partial deadlift which takes the legs out of the lift and is all back. can't really see from the vid though, how high is the rack, about knee level?

adjust te rack to where you need to work the lift
generally keep it at mid shin up to knee level
 
what about the rest of your back, is it a compound movement like deadlifts.
if I replace deadlifts with rack deadlifts, am I only missing out on the leg workout, or is there other benefits to doing full deads?
 
Should you barely touch the rack on the way down they pause or down hard back up hard. I just did my rack pulls today and lost 90lb's on my lift, sucks not be on cycle. At any rate maybe the weight was still too heavy i used 495 and only did a triple but the bar hit kinda hard when lowering it.
 
i put the weight down after each rep and reset. in essense you doing singles back t back. touch and go will cause you to lose form most of the time.
