Schredder's cycle log............

Back and bis today

Wide grip cable pulldowns 105x15 135x15 165x12 195x10+dropset
Cable pullovers 3x12 50
DB rows 3x8+dropset 100
HS Rows 3x12 90
Hyper ext superset w/ standing rear delts 3x12 20

Standing double arm cable curls 3x12 40
Incline DB curls 3x12 30
Concentration curls 12/10/8 25

Strength is going up each workout. I probably could go heavier but I want to use each jump in weight to my advantage so its like climbing a ladder......much more efficient to use each rung rather than trying to just right to the top.

Legs tmrw

This is so true. I've been making gains since working with 3J and getting my trt dialed in and I find it hard not to increase weight as quick as I can instead of waiting a week or so.

Learning alot following you log shredder

Keep killn it

Cheers brother

Ya man, people will go into the gym and bench one day and then the next bench day its like, shit, my bench went up 30lbs. Well that is only cheating yourself. You basically throw away 30lbs of weight to grow off of that you cant get back, it makes no sense.

Same thing with people who start out doing all these crazy supersets and triples and all that before theyve used everything else up in the proper order.

Dont skip vital steps of the process because you get caught up in the ego game of oh look at me bench. The most impressive thing is seeing a guy who looks like he can bench 405 and hes only benching 225. Thats a smart bodybuilder.

I've read you mention in a couple post's talking about putting the mind in the muscle. I've been truly implementing this for probably about a year now, BUT not sure if most guys on here really gets what this means. With EVERY rep completely putting your mind in the target muscle being used. Secondary muscles will do their part, BUT truly getting into the rep with your target muscle. I keep a workout log with EVERY single rep, time of day, how I feel, and if macro/micro were in check. I do this with every workout. Brother I've been so in tuned with a set, that literally after that set, I could not tell you the exact number of reps performed. My journal on a lot of sets will say 8-12 reps or 7-12 reps, because I seriously could not tell you the exact rep amount from being so much into every rep, and concentrating on what that muscle is doing. (eccentric/concentric) With that being said, I'm 202lb now and have NO idea a single max rep is for any lift, or for that matter what my 3-5 rep range is. Climbing under 405 with hidious form for one rep on bench are LONG GONE. Doing a quality lift with EVERY rep is now the only focus. With that being said, this technique took me time to comprehend, I'm still learning, but damn it works. Watching your journal, shows me you get this brother. Keep up your the work brother, you are doing awesome.

Thanks for the inspirational post Buzz!! Thats great now Im pumped up to go get some blood in my legs today!!

Ya you know whats up. That is the key, that mind muscle connection it is the most important thing above all else when training. I spent years trying to lift as heavy as possible, as much weight as I could physically get up. And guess what, I look better now and I lift half the weight, I also have zero injuries and and never achy or feel like im wounded.

And bro, lol, I know exactly what youre saying, I tend to lose count of the reps Im doing to and I basically take myself away i to the set and into the muscle. A loy of time I close my eyes for my sets or go completely crossed eyed (or so my gf says) and stare off into space. Looking around or not being 'zoned in' i find you cant get the proper feel for what's going on (the full stretch, the full contraction, blood flowing in).

I see so many young guys, shit, older guys too, that have soooooo much weight on the bar and the most terrible form, an they never change ive always been the type of dude to, if Im going to do something, i educate myself and learn about how to do that thing, and always improve. Its clear a lot of people dont do this about weight training/bodybuilding because i bet 90% of people are doing it wrong, an continue to do it wrong. And Im only talking about the training aspect of thing nvm the diet and all the rest.

Congratulations Buzz, you've found the holy grail my friend! :)

And that is why bodybuilding is a whole different sport to weightlifting...

The looks I get when someone says to me 'What can you bench?' and I say, 'dude, I haven't benched for months, I'm a bodybuilder' - they just can't get their head round it...

On a lower note, I'll be offline for a few days from Friday guys... I've managed to detach my triceps tendon from my elbow :(

Going for surgery with a long slow recovery imminent... just wanted to say to you Schredder, Snow etc etc.... keep up the great logs, I'll look forward to catching up while I'm convalescing!

Cheers :rockband:

By the way... I must add.... I didn't get injured using shit form or trying to lift too much!

I was doing a set of weighted calf raises, stood on a bench and holding onto the rack.
The bench just collapsed and I hit the deck like a sack of spuds, but because I was holding on to the bar, my triceps just went pop! (I'd trained them hard at lunchtime)

Thought I'd better clear that up seeing as we're on a thread discussing mind/muscle connections and lifting moderate weights lol

Anyway, sorry for jumping the thread... let's get back to hearing about Schredder's gains! ;)

No need to be sorry, it suck how these injuries tend to happen over something silly. I remember years back i tore everything in my ankle doing standing calve raises. Felt a 'ping' and kept givin er. Bad idea. Couldnt walk on it for a long time after than. The pain was unreal as well.

Had to get those legs in today

BB Squats warmup+3x10 225+dropset
Leg press w/bands 3x12 12 plates

Seated leg curls 2x8 120
Lying leg curls 2x8 120

Seated calve raises 3x12 140+dropset
Standing calve raises 3x12 205

Thats a wrap, i am due for a day off tomorrow but seeing as though its back to work on thurs im gonna go in tomorrow for a chest/shoulder/tri pump then take a few days off to grow.

Awesome pumps today legs looked super pumped! Calves got so pumped they cramped up, it felt like the skin was gonna rip!

Took a pre workout today, BSN endorush, felt great during the workout, but very gittery afterwards which i dont care for at all, so i wont be using that stuff again lol

Gonna take a few days off now and then back at er for some back and bis.

The wonders of modern technology huh!?

Great progress brother, looking forward to the end of cycle pics already...

You got a show in mind anytime soon?

PS: Tricep reattached now, bruising from wrist to shoulder, plastercast on for 2 weeks, but I'm on the way back!

Good to hear - hitting legs in the meantime?

I will be from Monday... I won't lie, I've been in agony all week since the op, and gulping some pretty hardcore painkillers to get by.

I didn't want to go and train in that condition so I'm going to assess how I feel after the weekend...

I'm planning on hitting legs, and working my good side ASAP to limit atrophy and keep the juices bubbling.

I've also ordered 6 weeks worth of TB500 to hopefully speed up the recovery :)

Just hit shoulders.......

DB press 25×25 35x20 45x15 55x12 65x11
BB front raises 3x12 40
DB side laterals 3x12 25
High rope pulls 3x12 80
Single arm rear delt w/ cable 3x12 20
BB shrugs 135x12 185x12 225x12 275x12

Single arm overhead DB ext 3x12 30
Reverse grip pushdown (2 triple sets standing far away from pully and working my way towards it) 10 reps 50lbs each set
Single arm pushdown (same set up ad previous exercise) 10 reps 20lbs each set

Thats it for another couple weeks for shoulders' damn things looks ridiculous pumped up!!!! Love it!!

Enjoy the weekend everyone

Well, woke up in the middle of the night last night soaking wet, throat so sore I could hardly breath and aching all over, wonderful. Sick again, for the second time this cycle. So needless to say its a rest day today, ill see how I feel tomorrow.
