I've been training slower with the rest pause, off n on. The most methodical is the engaging the muscle before the move. Mind and muscle connection.

Right on OMM good to see you here! I find the rest pauses to be great it terms of actually using the intended muscle group because you take the momentum out of the movement forcing you to actually use the muscle instead of using a bunch of other ones to get the weight up. Lower the weight, pause, engage muscle, contract.
 
We might call it Rest, Pause and Think ! Ya know that think of mind to muscle connection.

So todays gonna be a rest day. Gonna get a few stretching sessions in, 15-20 mins each. I see no point in gaining a bunch of muscle if you lessen mobility and flexibility. Also stretching aid in recovery so its a win win. I only ever stretch on days off or hours after I workout, NEVER while I workout or before I workout there absolutely no point in that.

love the rest-pause technique... doing this on incline is one of the most effective chest exercises for me. It's amazing how heavy you can make 1 plate a side feel when you hold it, then squeeze it through to the top of the movement

I hear ya, not only can we make the weight seem heavier we can make a lesser weight much more effective than a heavier weight.

Gotta train smart, and like you my chest has grown and developed better than ever since utilizing this technique.
 
Shit I was wondering it had been a couple weeks that you said you were planning on starting this stack in a couple weeks, lol subbed brother!!

There's a lot of good, knowledgeable and experienced based advice in these posts alone, and I agree and train with the same style of method and feel it works wonders for me, would love to train with you one time sucks we live on the other side of the world always top advice bro. A lot of people could benefit from the advice, one I often dish out heavily is fuck the weight, fuck counting reps, just get the weight and make sure your busting your ass working on that form, contracting and activating that muscle... We are tearing down and contracting muscle, not moving weight, contracting muscle.

Keen for pics if you planed on posting up weekly progress results, I plan on doing the Test/Deca/Mast blast this summer possibly kick starting it with either 30mg Dbol or Superdrol aswell (will be a bulk and honestly playing around with doses in my head still and depending on how I end up after this winter may do a minicut/possibly quick Tren recomp if I can be fucked with the sides at some point in between the blasts). Looking forward to seeing the progress made on it your log bro!

Good to see you here brother, and thanks for the comments!! The way I train this time around is going to be completely different from what Ive done before. And I think its gonna put me that much further ahead. Fuck man, to be honest I lose track of reps all the time lol sometimes I dont even start counting until it starts hurting. This is all business this time.

Man we'd kill it in the gym if we had the chance to train together thetes no doubt about that man! Thatd be an expensive session for either one of us though, hah!

One piece if advice, run the dbol man, that stuff is unreal!!

Took another rest day today, wike up today and could tell my CNS wasnt healed, i just felt off and it was gonna be a leg day so thats a no good till tomorrow. Better to go in at 100% and give 100% rather than go in at 50% and put myself behind.
 
I'm the same, when I count reps it fucks with my head and I tend to aim for a specific number, stop counting reps and suddenly I'm pushing to failure that I wasn't reaching before counting... Funny how little psychological things like that can make such a difference!

Fuck yeah we would, one day maybe if I ever travel to the Canada (talking a good couple of years atleast lol) we gotta hook up a session one time.

I ran Dbol for a little run one, other times have been just pre-workout and I gotta say it is pretty good at mentally enhancing my sessions/mood and gave me a wicked fullness much like high test although BP was an issue at the time, but may even throw it in when I blast the Test up soon ;)

Sometimes an extra rest day isn't a bad thing, and it's a good thing to be in tune with your body to be able to recognise what it's trying to tell you.

Used these for the 1st time yesterday buddy... they hit the back from angles I never knew existed...

That's great. Back is one of those muscles that, in order to make it grow, you need to hit it on as many planes of motion as possible. How do we do that, well, with machines mostly and some free weights. but the main thing is to do different things ALL THE TIME and a lot of them.
 
Legs got hit today, and I gotta say the pumps are getting more intense with every workout. I had gotten ONE set of legs extensions in and my quads felt like they were gonna rip so as you can imagine the pain only got worse from there on in. It went like this.

Leg extensions 4 sets (all rest pause sets) super set with bodyweight close stance squats w/ heals on 25lb plates (pump sets)

Reverse stance hack squat 3 sets (all rest pause sets) super set w/ bodyweight wide stance, toes out squats w/ heels on a 25lb plate (pumps sets)

One legged machine press 3 sets (slow reps)

Plate loaded kneeling hamstring curls 4 sets (all rest pause sets)

Seated hamstring curls 3 sets (all rest pause sets) super set w/ bodyweight SLDL (pump sets)

Seated calve raises 3 (all rest pause sets) super set w/ standing bodyweight raises on an incline platform (pump sets)

Calf raises on a sled 3 sets (all rest pause sets) super set w/ standing bodyweight raise from floor (pump sets)

That's a wrap for today. The pumps were so intense they made me nauseous, its was awesome!

Gonna replenish some nutrients for the rest of the day then go smash chest and tris tomorrow.

These 'pump sets' between the working sets were my rest periods. So, basically no rest exept between exercises for the amount of time it took me to walk to the next machine.

This workout was something i just brewed up in my head, just a random thought i thought might work, and it did.

There's such a fine line between an amazing pump and an uncomfortable one!
I'm prepared to introduce high dose Taurine when needed - but right now the requirement is marginal!

Cialis+1G of test gives pumps that really hurt... Fucked! But it's a love hate with the pump lol
