Schredders summer training journal

the last few days I found a way to get in a bit more protein... been mixing in a blender; plain yogurt, 2 scoops of unflavoured isonatural, ice cubes and downing it... first thing in the morning and at least one more time during the day

I find with the unflavoured isolate I can do many more things with it... the simplest way is; skim milk, 2 scoop of protein, couple squirts of chocolate syrup and ice cubes... can't beat it ;)

Ya unflavored would work well I usually buy vanilla just for the sweetness. And vanilla you can pretty well mix with anything. But unflavored would be more versatile for sure. That sounds like a nice treat with the ice. Put a bunch in a make it like a frappe!!!

So rest day today as I said but I did the stretch routine the is outlined in the link BigBen so kindly posted up here. That shit is INTENSE. I will be doing this daily and I can already tell it will be a benifit. I am very flexable at some movements he shows and not so much in other so theres a few things I need to work on. But, I know this is going to be a great tool to spark some new growth in some tissue that has been knotted up for too long.
 
Banged out some chest, bit of delts, and triceps last night. Strength is still climbing. Weight is sitting at 244lbs!!! Man, awesome gains so far, im heavier now then I was at the end of last cycle and stronger than the end of last cycle and Im not even half way through! The gear has been PIP free on every shot so far (other than calfs but thats to be expected).

Was a quick one, but kept the pace and intensity up.

Flat DB press 5 sets last set was a NOS set, I workup up to 105s on last set then a quadruple drop, 105 85 65 45 5 reps each, 30 sec loaded stretch at the end.
Incline BB press 4 sets 185
Flat DB flys 35s

Seated side laterals 30lb DBs 3 sets 15 reps each

Straight bar pushdowns 4 sets worked up to the full stack for 12 then a triple drop
Single arm overhead DB extension 25s 3 sets of 15 reps

Seated calf raises 3 heavy sets last set was a drop 21 set (7 bottom, 7 top, 7 full)

Im fillin out real nice now.

Ive been doing the stretches daily and it almost seems as if my legs are losening up and growing a bit, the look quite a bit different. And my lower back is back to 100%

Skipping gym today and its a work day and meal prep day nack at er for some back next go around.

Cheers brother!! Gotta hit 250 at least this time around. Gonna have to start eating more now might have to bump er up to 4500-5000 cals a day, lots of 'cheats' too and I say cheats in quatations because is it really a cheat if it helping you get to where you want to go, absolutely not. One thing Ive noticed thts helping a lot is of course higher sodium but also ICE CREAM. Its an every day thing now along with cereal :)

Oh man, I cant say enough about AML. Nothing but the best man.
 
Small leg session last night fellas. Im working right now so the workouts are a little shorter and smaller than usual. But still effective non the less. Strength is climbing with every workout, joints feel great my whole body feells good and healthy. I went with high reps again as energy was lower than normal but I also find that my legs respond better to high reps anyways so it went like this.

Leg extensions 4 sets 25 reps each worked up to 200lbs
Leg press 4 sets worked up to 9 and a 25 a side for 17 reps
Walking DB lunges 2 sets plus a bodyweight set after last set

Kneeling plate loaded ham curls 4 sets 25 reps each set worked up to a 45 on each side

Calve presses on sled, full stack of weight plus a 25lb plate 4 sets of 15.

Ive dropped a little water it seems since discontinuing the Dbol but havent lost weight. My quads have some pretty nice cuts and striations and some feathering on the out side which looks pretty cool. Calves are avtually GROWING, imagine that, after all these years, finally.

Gonna rest up again today then hit some back thursday night.
 
I can also vouch for the Ice cream on a bulk lol...Staple part of a bulk to really get in those calories, especially if your a hard gainer. Ice cream really helps me fill out if I happen to have a few days off or for whatever reason my diet intake is off for a few days.

Works well throwing it into shakes/smoothies for a sweetening or flavouring effect whilst adding calories. Ofcourse, there are healthier options but I'm one of those blokes that doesn't mind a bit of junk. I'll take a couple years off my life and live to 80 if it means I can actually live a little rather than live to 85 and be stressing over diet and clean eating. Plus clean eating for me never gets me far, I need and enjoy a little flavour in my life ;)

I'm actually out of the stuff myself and due for shopping, I don't know over in the US/Canada, but I find the el cheapo brands actually taste as good if not better than the fancy shit. Ice cream is cheap if you get it in bulk and is one of those things that is definitely going to work in a hardgainer diet.

Funnily enough I'm training in 4 or so hours from now and not looking as full as I like to be so one guess at what will be going down the chute today amongst my other meals...

This thread really does have quite some info in it that would be of great use to many on here!
 
Ya I really find, especially for hardgainers/naturally lean guys that to bulk the diet need 'dirtier' calories. Like burgers, pizza, ice cream etc etc. If I eat chicken rice and brocolli i will shrink and the only way I would gain doing that is if I ate more than is physically possible. So its impossible. So its impossible. You wanna build muacle you have to EAT. Guys forget that and get stuck in these ruts eating stuff that will get them where they set out to be.

Now if a guy wants to cut in anyway theyll have to clean up the calories of course but you want to bulk fuckin EAT, EVERYTHING. Nobodys gettin huge off of eating like a bird or too clean.
 
And i do agree with your comment about generic/no name brands. You can save a lot of money doing this and some things youll never know the difference. Of course this isnt the case with everything but with some foods for sure.

I found a 15lb bag or rice the other day for 9.99. No name but I mean fuck, rice is rice lol. I could soend the same amount on branded rice and get 1/10 the amount. Its a no brainer.
 
Is it a sin that I use ice cream daily and pizza 2-3x week even when dieting & should I confess to some sort of clean diet prophet figure?

The ice cream movement keeps growing :)

If your thinking what I'm thinking, that a bunch of great posts got deleted AGAIN, then yes - its true.

EDIT: I just realised what you were thinking (hacked?) and I doubt that's what has happened - though at least it would give us a semi-reasonable explanation for all the disruption.

Its hard for me to believe that changing servers and backing up data can be as difficult as the IT dudes responsible for this board are making it out to be.

I dunno man, 2 pages of posts gone from this. Almost impossible to re write all that. I wont even try to do that. Its a shame its all gone though.

Kinda disheartening to be honest, a lot of my own time has been put into putting together this thread and it is enjoyable for me but fuck dude to see shit disapearing constantly ..........i dunno.

I need to drown my sorrows in some cheesecake that is topped with ice cream now.
