Diagnosed with Secondary hypo and on TRT

Unresponsive to the Clomid restart

Feeling better now on 100mg q 7d Now ~800

I was just wondering what relation to GH production the pituitary has, and the chances of GH output being affected by my condition?

Anyone have any insight?

Thanks in advance!

What are your e2 levels like? Do you have bloodwork out of curiosity?

GH output is hard to measure itself. Typically it is measured by checking IGF-1 as GH levels rise and fall.

To answer your question though, after going on TRT my IGF-1 levels increased however I believe that is due to a direct effect from Testosterone itself not from an increase of GH secretion. I wouldn't worry about GH output, but you should have an increase IGF-1 level with higher test anyway essentially mimicking an slight increase in GH output.

I do have BW but my doctor is not what I would call "familiarized" with the best of what TRT can be or should be.

I've had to ask for a sensitive E2 and he was reluctant, said it didn't matter. He was only concerned with my total T number.

He ordered a total Estrogen and I for the life of me can't remember what it was. On the highish side of normal if memory serves me right. I know my body could do good on some lower E levels though.

Maybe it's time to find a new doc! Haha

I was just curious what the relation to GH output was and if it could be affected.

Well as far as I know, being on TRT won't have any direct or indirect effect on secretion of GH rather like I said the Testosterone itself will be the cause of elevated IGF-1 via it's effect on the liver.

You really wanna find a doc that wants to keep you monitored properly and on a proper protocol. The big 3 things that make or break TRT are...

1) Testosterone (Obviously, but in specific the timing between shots as well as dose)
2) Estrogen (This can be controlled somewhat by Test dose and just as important the timing frequency...Aim for Less Dose/More Frequency to avoid peaks and troughs)
3 Hematocrit AKA RBC count (Most people will experience increased HCT after being on TRT after a few months and can bring on anxiety and lethargy to name a few which can really have an impact on how TRT makes you feel. Donating blood fixes this, until it eventually rises up again, and repeat).

If one of those 3 things are off, the other two can be perfect yet they may as well be off too as it works in harmony.
