Self-medicating TRT

I stopped going to the TRT clinic in my neck of the woods and decided to self-medicate. I am only retaining 2 meds from the clinic regimine--Anastrazole and HCG.

I did my first injection of 200mg of Test-Cyp in the right glute and it was a piece of cake. This morning however the glute is a little sore, but not bad at all. I'll be doing this injection weekly on Mondays.

In addition to the Test-Cyp, I will be taking 0.5 mg Anastrazole on Tues, Thurs and Sats. I'll also take 25cc HCG twice weekly, but I'll probably cycle it on and off every 6-8 weeks. I am currently on the off cycle for HCG.

Depending on how I feel two months from now, I may step up the test usage do a first cycle like DaHurt or Messymatt.

I did my third injection of 200mg of test-cyp in the left glute this morning and continuing the 0.5 mg anastrazole EOD.

The depression-like state that I was in prior to staring the test-cyp injections went away after my 2nd injection. I have hopeful expectations that I'll get my libido back.

Glad it's working for you. I know the depression all to well from everything being out of whack! Grabbing bloods this week to figure out where things are at and then my next steps. Every three weeks and no Aromatase inhibitor (AI) sucks. I wish they would mandate some type of TRT schooling for primaries who want to prescribe so they understand how it needs to be done.

Did the 5th injection on Monday. I'll be cautious and guarded about it, but I think it's stating to kick-in. There has been three separate occasions in the past week in the half where I had arousals in the evening but no follow through withe sack time. I have also been alternating the rt and lf glute when it comes to injection sites. I might try the quads in the future.

So what was your dose under supervision? you would be better and safer to split that 200 into 100 twice a week. will you get blood work, where is your CBC looking like going into this so you can see how high your hematocrit and hemoglobin climb

With the past doc, I was using the 200 MG testosterone cream. One pump, twice daily applied to either the forearms or the biceps.

I had blood drawn through Private Md Labs by myself on 02/01/13 after I stopped seeing that doctor. I had the female panel for males done. Hemocrit was 46.5% and Hemoglobin was 16.1 g/dL. I plan on getting the panel done again about two months from now.

I am by no means an expert, but I figured I'd start spliting if I decided to up the ante with a non-therapeutic dosed cycle involving 500 to 600 mg of Test Cyp (or Test-E) per week. But, you think it would work better therapeutically with the low dose I am on, if I did 100mg twice a week?

yes, with creams and gels there is not the same impact to red blood cell production as a single shot of test greater than 150 mg, this seems to be the ceiling for suppressing something called hepcidin, when its suppressed the bone marrow makes a lot more red blood cells and this increases hematocrit and hemoglobin fairly dramatically, always test and retest at intervals to be sure you've stabilized once on injections
a search of Testosterone Increases Erythropoietin should yield lots of studies to this point.
good luck

Did the sixth week injection yesterday.

Sense of well-being and positive feelings were markedly increased this past week. I had an "A-ha" moment in the gym on Saturday doing one-arm db rows when I looked in the mirror to the side and thought "Well, goodmorning, you young silverback gorila." And sex is getting on the mind; the past 3 or so days.

I like the direction self-administration has gone; I hope this continues. I'll coast this route for awhile. But, I can definitely see myself upping the ante with this being my "off" cycle and having an "on" cycle if things continue on the present trajectory.

Being on your own testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is never a bad idea, it will help keep some wear and tear off you!

Did the 7th injection on Monday. I switched the injection site from either of the glutes to the left quad. I had a monentary, jarring, fhwoomp-like feeling when I darted the needle in and then I was fine. I must have hit a nerve and the muscle contracted? Even so, I found it much easier to do and I will be doing the right quad on week eight.

I did the 8th injection yesterday in the right quad. There weren't any issues; nothing to note like last week. In the past two weeks... I have had spontaneous erections here and there and sex has been on the mind. I haven't had any of the mood issues that I have had in the past. In four weeks I'll get my blood tested.

I did the 10th injection this morning in the right quad.

Last week was a hell week. If something could go wrong; it did--job, family, finances etc.... Libido went into the toilet. But, as bad as things were I didn't get weepy as I had been pre self-medicating.

I did the 11th injection yesterday morning in the right quad. A week, two-weeks from now, I'll be getting my bloodwork checked.
