I've done a few searches and come up with conflicting info. What are reasonable precautions to take when ordering gear? Real Name ok? Ship to home address with no sig required, as long as nothing else at the home is illegal? Ship only to PO box or MBE box? I like learning but hate having to learn everything the hard way. How do you guys handle it?

real name is fine. If you're targeted they'll get you regardless. Without breaking any rules I can say that the packages are no different from any other packages you receive.

ive placed a few orders all successful..i used an altered version of my name similar first name and changed some of the vowels in my last. i also have read that using a PO box is more risky as you are having it shipped and stored in a federal building. the 2 places ive ordered from require a signature as they guarantee delivery so when theyd arrive id just scribble and signature

Use a p.o box if you want,regardless you need a valid photo of for it anyways. Putting your neighbors address is careless. It puts your source at high risk if your neighbor opens it and discovers its actual contents. If they are going to catch you,they will catch you by all means,wether it be a p.o box,or home address. Most of the time your a small fish in a huge pond.
