I just buy fresh boneless chicken breasts for grocery stores around me when they go on sale. I usually won't buy it unless it's below $1.99 a pound. I'll buy a whole bunch and just throw it in the freezer.

Try the farmers market, fresh, and cheap. Protien, Protien, Protien!!! did I mention fresh seafood, beef, and everything else.

You can save a little by buying chicken breasts with the bone and skin and removing it yourself. Not really worth it for most including myself.

which costco? def not the one near here... and i'm probably 40mins away...

i'm from NF, and in the city with my boyfriend... I don't understand how grocery stores can chage 5 bucks for a dozen of eggs when... five bucks can get you a flat of eggs...

i know costco has a 18 pack for 3.17$... is that the best I can find around here?

I do this often!! i even buy whole chicken and do it all myself.

It's more of a time thing for me. If I run across a really good deal on bone-in/skin on I'll buy it. The difference in price usually doesn't swing my decision. Walmart had chkn $1.99/lb last week and $3.78/lb today. Must have been some of those gold shitting chickens?

yeah? i'd eat it but, my boyfriend won't... he's picky as to what store he buys his food from... I can't buy produce or anything from a Nofrills..
But since food cost is so high here in Ontario, it's hard. Trying to find good deals, especially on proteins...
30 bucks for five breats - which may feed a normal family... and lets say, one of the two incomes make minimum wage, that's three hours work right there.
Sometimes I am thankful for my job, being a cook has it's perks.. I don't ever have to buy groceries...
Workout before work and fast til 2pm...

Got a little side tracked there... I know the stake at walmart - i think it's twenty for thirty - and it's not that bad - good to cut up n use for stirfry...

Does anyone know where to get flats of eggs around the big city here?
Anyone know any farmers?

i know a butcher... i work with one... but, unfortunately he works for a major chain so, he can't really give me a good deal. I'll have to see if he knows anyone around the GTA

You would think that the rest. in the hotel would order in bulk and let you buy a case of chicken breasts at a better deal than buying retail.
