shoulder pain

duey

awesome!!
alright guys, when i keep my arm straight and raise to the front of me,
my shoulder hurts like hell in the front part of my shoulder but inside,

Youve probably overdone youre front delts.
Or it can be youre rotator cuffs...
does it hurt much when benching?

You may also have bicep tendinitis. The bicep tendon attached in the shoulder region. I had that before and that hurt like hell!

thats y its important to do rotor cuff work. Just don't over do it w/your shoulders. Injuries take a long time to heal and don't take much to screw up your progress.

Try to find a trigger point therspist in your area, look under Registered Massage Therapist in the yellow pages and look for someone who specializes in Trigger Points. I'm sure if they know what they are doing they can help you.

I'm curious about shoulder injuries as well. I have trouble with my right shoulder. When I do lat pulls, it feels like my right shoulder is being pulled out of socket. I've never injured it before, and it only gives me pain when I'm at the gym. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

are you doing lat pulls behind your head? If so, don't, it's a common cause of injury.

both of my shoulders make crunchy and popping sounds when I hit them hard during chest/shoulder days. doesn't hurt but annoying as hell.

Stinn: so lats pulldown behind the head is a no no for back days? just wondering

It's been known to cause alot of injuries, just like shoulder press behind the head, it's unnatural for most people.
Crunching and popping in the shoulder is generally caused by the 4 rotator cuff muscles having trigger points. Two of these muscles are on your shoulder blade, one is under it(hard to get at) and the last is right above it. Try having someone massage that area or lie on a tennis ball on the floor and roll it around to try and find any tender spots then hold pressure there for 45seconds to a minute. This will start the trigger point releasing, but it could take alot of time/sessions for it to be completely healed.

I once had a massage session and counting from the joints and veins she popped..i'd say it was around 14...with both shoulders the loudest and it just...pops right in. She said that i had a semi dislocation of both shoulders but not to the point of actual dislocation...now they're making noises again...not to mention my knee...not good I say.
POP POP POP

Duey...stop doing front raises. Usually hit your front delts enough when u bench(especially incline). If it hurts, don't do it. No need 2 cause further injury. Do u do rotor cuff work?? Look into it if u don't.

its possible youve damaged your glenoid labrum or the ring of catrilage aroung the cusp of the shoulder join. Commonly causes the symptoms you describe mate. Unfortunatelyt only way to know for sure is to have an expensive MRI done, and the treatment is operative. Only consider surgical treatment withthis condition if it causes apprehension and instability.
