Size, Not Strength

Actually college food is so good. The college I go to have a pizza place, breakfast place, sub place, burger/hot dog place, salad bar, and dessert...obviously my two favorite are the sub and salad bar. And the best part is, is that its ALL YOU CAN EAT for only one card swipe to get in.

Now on a serious note, top-dog, you really can and should work for both types of growth because what happens on a high volume light-weight routine is you cap-out on the amount of volume you can do EXTREMELY fast. What happens then? You then need to work on getting stronger, so youi can use more wieght on your volume. And the reality is, it is LIKELY a non-issue. I would BET that your diet is what is holding your size gains down, not your training. And you also gave a couple clues when you mentioned what you were doing when you were on gear, and didn't mention what you are doing off. Here is the deal, unless you are committed to LONG cycles, what you do while on is of little importance to what you do when taining clean. THAT is what you need to focus on.

Your first step should be to go to www.fitday.com, or another online diet tracking service, and LOG EVERYFUCKING THING YOU EAT FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS. Without doing this, you are greasping in the dark for an object you have never seen before.

Thanks a lot for the advice man, I really appreciate it. The problem with living in a dorm is that I have no idea what's in any of the food I eat. So even if I went to fitday and tried to guess, I would probably be way off. The food is all you can eat though, and I do have access to enough good food to make gains, it's just really hard to know whether I'm eating enough or not since all my food is prepared by somebody else with ingredients that I have no idea about

just gotta pick and choose the right foods. For example at my caf, durring the school year i hit up the egg whites\bacon\and toast w\cream cheese for early morning. Other sources of protein is hard boiled eggs, just eat the whites, burgers, milk, grilled chicken, and the subs are loaded with turkey(which i always ask for more). For dinner there is usually some sliced beef which they call steak, but its pretty damn good and most of the time they have sliced turkey breast. My favorite is when they have ribs. Endless salad with olive oil is good. For carbs there is always brown rice, whole wheat bread, and sometimes if I am luckey they have baked potatoes.
Just gotta know not to eat a plate of fries with cheese and some cola, I see way too many kids (the same that do endless curls in the gym) eat a plate of fries with cola and all kinds of garbage for dinner, then they are the same guys that lift the same damn weights every time i see them lift.
All us lifters spend most of our time in the cafeteria, just eat and shoot to shit.
