..I smoke 5, 6 a day..it will add to blood vessel constriction..
I counter it with aerobics.
A soft tissue scan 3 years ago showed my lung s clear...
I need to stop but wont... as I like it.
As far as muscle building...no idea.

It actually does hurt you. It doesn't just kill brain cells, but also kills muscle cells as well. I was looking into this. I am a community smoker. I smoke every-so-often. And, yea, I like it as well. lol

look into an mild anti-depressant called zyban.. helps u quit smoking.. worked wonders for me years ago..

humm.. I should look into this too...

Ive been smoking 2~ 2.5 packs a day for couple years now... 5 years...

thanx.

I smoked for over 6 years, at least 25 or 30 cigarettes a day. I used nicotine patches to quit. It's all about the placebo effect.

All it takes is a little will power. C'mon guys!

Well i need a patch to keep me from eating fuckin brownies whenever my girl "suprises" me with them...jesus

I've read that smoking has some anti estrogen effects... There are actually studies that support this.

Although this possible positive doesnt begin to outweigh the negatives associated with smoking.

I would definitely try quitting....

hey man.. havn't seen u in a min.. where u been?

Was busy with work and family for awhile and then had a technical issue.

Things are slowing down now though and the tech issue is pretty much fixed I think....

How you been?

buzy as hell...

good to have u back

i dont smoke cigs, but marijuana every day. i want to slow it down, but i get way to pissed off and get anxiety. the bud helps me relax and chill out.

i also bartend and bounce at a bar. we are not going smoke free till Aug 15! i cant wait.

im sure it hurts my cardio a little as i train for MMA. i almost feel like dying at the end of the 2nd round, but im a big guy at 240.

I got really sick and as a rsult of that I didnt smoke for a few days. Figured why not quit then and I did.

Once you get past the first 3-5 days the nicotine withdrawl is over so it only gets easier from there. A lot of it is pyschological as well as habitual.

Never understood why anyone who bodybuilds would smoke. Its totally contradictoty to what youre trying to achieve....a healthier body. Unless all you care about is looking good on the outside while your insides rot away.

I smoked for 10+ yrs and I quit 10 yrs ago, cold turkey. It wasn't easy but once you get ur mind made up to quit, you can do it bro!

No it won't hinder your muscle building abilities, unless you are on some sort of additive(steroids) and your liver is shot, then your ability to convert the additives will be hindered by smoking as the liver is already producing enzymes to "clear" the nico and other impurities out of your system.

I was breathing a ton of second hand cigarette smoke every night bartending for many years. I also smoked 2 packs a day for 20 years. The toxins and poisons in cigarette smoke eventually destroyed my health. I got very sick. I struggled with the addiction but could not quit. Finally I quit and within a year most of my old strength and health returned. Your body mistakes nicotine for dopamine. Smokers grow additional dopamine receptors in their brains. The greater the number of new receptors the more severe the addiction. Each person is different. There are radioactive chemicals in cigarette smoke that destroy all tissue cells. Inhaling cigarette smoke is like standing next to a toxic waste dump on fire and breathing the fumes. There are over 500 toxic chemicals in first hand cigarette smoke and more in second hand smoke. Breaking the addiction to cigarettes was the hardest thing I ever did. The bodybuilding lifestyle focuses on overall health and a good quality of life. Cigarettes are not conducive to the ideal.
